I think the window has closed.   So trading young assets is foolishness.

This deal is actually not an insult to the other team. We gotta ask ourselves why would the other team want to make the trade in the first place before making up ridiculous offers. The Kings' GM loves Rondo and they need a fan attraction going forward with their new city so this deal could be done and could benefit both teams. I'm reluctant to give up fan favorite Sully but getting DMC is too much to pass up, im good to go with this trade  :) .

Demarcus Cousins is only 22 and will be a top 3 center in this league for years to come especially under the Celtics. Evans was rookie of the year in 09 so it's not like we're not getting young assets in return.

Indeed, the window has closed.

So trading 27 year old Rondo for 22 year old Demarcus Cousins makes total sense.

Rondo's 26.

Either way he'll be 30 before this team has a competitive young core again.
