  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I love the optimism, and I'm with you.

This will be a statement game, and I believe they will FINALLY show up.

There, I said it. You won't convince me otherwise, and we're going to win comfortably.

If my sportsbook account was still open i would bet big $$$$$$$$$$$ on the heat.

The Heat has actually been playing poorly. Definitely not as poorly as us, but poorly nevertheless. I too think the C's win this one.

have the heat lost 6 in a row? Did they just blow a 27 point lead?

And that means what exactly? Does that matter when the game is actually played? sDon't know about you, but I actually live in Miami and see the majority of Heat games. Their defense is awful and they are dead last in rebounding. They are not playing like the juggernaut a lot of people make them out to be. Especially on the road.

The problem is not showing up, but staying afterwards.

yeah and I see plenty New Orleans Pelicans games because I live close to NOLA and guess what? The pelicans suck and you know what? they BEAT US! So since miami is so terrible according to you in many ways they just might beat us also right?
LET'S GO CELTICS!

Even if the celtics do win what does it really mean? Absolutely nothing. They will still be 2 games under 500 fighting an uphill battle. I don't want anybody blowing this game out of proportion. Its one game.

Believe it or not, we are still two and a half games ahead of Philly for the eighth spot in the East.  So, there's really no reason to give up on the team yet.  If we can pull a big upset against Miami, of course it would be a big win.  We really need one.

No single win can mean anything at all at this point.  The team lost the opportunity to "redeem" themselves a long time ago.  Follow a six game winning streak with a six game losing streak.  What a joke.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I don't get this at all.  The season's only halfway over.  We are two and a half games ahead of the ninth seed in the East.

I guess, it's to each his own here;  Feel free to write the team off and give up on them if you like.  I envision some better play coming from this team (I shudder to imagine it getting any worse).  Then what?  It'll be too late for you?  They've wounded you too deeply for you to take them back?

This is exactly my point. The celtics have already proven they can beat good teams. What always happens after that tho? I'm just saying we're at the point now where no one win is huge. Do we need the win? Yeah. Will it mean we're back on track? Absolutely not. Even after winning 6 in a row the celtics have proven they are still not ready to be consistent. So why would one win against miami prove anything? I know I'm being negative but I'm just telling it like it is.

Miami could beat us, but I don't expect them to. You brought a 6 game losing streak as if somehow that means anything on Sunday. When did I say Miami is terrible? What I said is that they're not the juggernaut people think. They are dead last in rebounding, struggle on dribble penetration (especially against PG's), are bad in defending the 3 (no coincidence as to why NY has beat them by 40 in 2 games), and have won only 4 out of their last 9 road games.

You sound angry. It's a long season. Get off the ledge.

I'm sorry, but you're not really telling anything like it is.  It's a looooong season.  Ups and downs happen.  We look like crap right now, but it's certainly not too late for big wins just like it's not too late for bad losses.  Unfortunately, tonight's game squarely falls in the latter category.  Time to go see if we can't start to check off a few in the former.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
I'll add a TP to the betting pool against the Celtics winning.

I'd like to see me wrong, but I doubt it.
