GLEN DAVIS I MISSSSS YOUUUUUUUU
The irony is that Davis was considered mentally fragile. However, it's Bass who looks worse in that regard. If Bass' jumper isn't going in he seems to mentally check out and his entire game deteriorates rapidly.

Come on its not that bad. Bass is undersized; so he has to work for every shot and every board.

He should give part of his salary back. That is how bad he has been this year. I doubt, however, that anyone would have any interest in him. He sucks.

This is exactly what I was saying ever since the offseason - that Bass' only skill is his jumper, and if you take that away he is useless. Everybody jumped down my throat about it. I also said Jeff Green would be better than Bass, wich everybody also flamed me for. So far he's been FAR better. Outside of his jumpshot Bass has NO talent whatsoever. His only other upside was his effort / energy level, and this year that is long gone.

Did you guys see Bass's missed dunk in the second quarter? Makes a good move, blows by his man, has a wide-open look ... and totally botches it.
His season in a nutshell.

Bass got lost in shuffle with all new faces on the team. He is basically an afterthought this season. They don't run any plays for him. Remember how effective the Rondo/bass Pick and Roll was. Doc also didn't him any favors handing over his Job to Sully in training camp. An unprecedented move by Docn throwing his vet under the bus for a rookie. Bass confidence was shattered, and he hasn't been the same since.

Who's going to take him?
Unless we ship him out of town with Rondo or Pierce, I don't see who's going to want to trade for Bass.

Trading Bass is a gamble. We're not going to get a big name for him, and certainly wont be able to trade him just by himself unless we're getting a much worse player. I think we're stuck with him unless we include other names and/or picks. SInce chances are we have to keep 'em, we have to use whatever positives he have for him to help us. I think the fix with Bass is simple, do not encourage him to take jump shots. Paul Heyman said "accentuate the positives, hide the negatives". Bass is struggling mightily with his jump shots, so hide it. Let him do the positives, he's athletic, he's a bruiser, he can jump, so make him focus on crashing the boards on both sides. Let him roll, not pop on picks and make sure he's inside the paint all the time, ready to rebound. Doc has to tell him that until he consistently hit his jump shots, he has to stay in this gameplan. That way he wont hurt the team by bricking shots.

As much as I like Brandon, I agree with this thread.
KG is getting beat up inside...Brandon missing dunks....
If this team wants Kevin Garnett to wear out even faster than what he already is, then keep Brandon Bass as your starting PF.
Get KG some help, Danny!
