It's not the role players people. Role players are role players.  They need stars to be effective.  The problem is with KG and PP a year older, and Rondo peaking, we have no stars.

I disagree...KG/PP/Rondo are putting up pretty similar stats that they did last year.

the difference is that all of our role-players last year despite their Offensive deficiencies BOUGHT IN to our defensive system and gave 100% on that end.

this years role players havent bought in and seem to think that they can win playing lazy defense...thats the issue here.

Danny thought he could trade defense for offense and we could mold these guys into at least decent defenders...instead they seem to be missing both.

Stiemsma all day every day.  Hard to have an elite defense with 0 shot blockers.

When I look at that list (minus Jermaine) all I see is heart, passion and effort.  I miss those qualities more than any individual players talent.  Talentwise they were pretty mediocre, but they all played their butts off.  Especially on defense and weren't worried about getting their stats up.
