So what are the colors now?

I think they should have at least kept the same or similar colors.

Those colors were all originally Charlotte's

Sure but they were good and unique.  Also fitting for the "Pelican"... now they are like a dark red and blue?

I see what you mean i guess. The new colors look like Cleveland's to me. But the teal always belonged to charlotte in my mind. Maybe white and yellows would be better. The beak on the pelican is gold/yellowish i think..

I thought that naming presser was great aside from the sleepy crowd.

Anyone catch when the New Orleans' mayor said he was "pumped up for the Pelicans" and only got a cheer from Tom Benson's daughter.

I dig the name, I dig the logo, I dig the colors. As a lanky shot blocker on the pickup courts myself, I think that an Anthony Davis Pelicans jersey would be just right.

That's actually pretty cool. And I really had my doubts.

That's just hilarious! Why don't they just get back 'Jazz' from Utah? I can only imagine what their logo would look like.. I mean , can't they think of a , well, 'meaner' nickname for a pro basketball team?

Sorry, just my opinion..

The Nawlins 'Licans?

I kind of like the New Orleans Mardi Gras.

After New Orleans announced they're abandoning the Hornets nickname Thursday, the Bobcats said they are investigating the possibility of reclaiming the moniker.
ESPN's Marc Stein reported several days ago that the Bobcats had started looking into the idea of becoming the Hornets. The current Hornets franchise, soon to be the Pelicans, took the nickname with them when they moved from Charlotte to New Orleans in 2002. The Bobcats then entered the league as an expansion franchise in 2004, bringing the NBA back to Charlotte.

Stylistically, I hate it. Seems too "Hey, we're a sports team." If that makes sense.

Yea OKC's logo looks like they actually forgot to design one in my opinion.

Like, they knew they were moving to OKC, had a name and just decided to keep the generic OKC NBA team logo.

they dont resemble. they are those colors.

But if they were the EXACT colors wouldn't the league step in and make them change?
