Pelicans are tenacious beasts. Pint sized pugilists if you ask me. I love the name.

Much better than Hornets. At least it's something relevant to the city.

Losing the Jazz label is terrible.

Salt Lake City should be the Grizzlies, Memphis should be the Bobcats, Charlotte should be the Hornets and New Orleans should be the Jazz. Done.

So what are the colors now?

I think they should have at least kept the same or similar colors.

With the change official, the Charlotte Bobcats will reportedly evaluate the possibility of returning to the Hornets moniker, although nothing final has been decided.

I like this. The grizzly is a cold weather/mountainous type of animal, befitting Utah; doesn't get any better than Jazz for New Orleans; and Charlotte was originally the Hornets. Don't know if there are Bobcats in Memphis, but sounds good.

I'd also add that Washington should again be the Bullets, and our archenemy should ditch Lakers in favor of something appropriate (like the Smog or the Riots ... j/k, maybe something like the Palms, the Express, any ideas?)

Sure but they were good and unique.  Also fitting for the "Pelican"... now they are like a dark red and blue?
