No need to move anyone.  We've got two open roster spots.

didn't he sign with the Grizzlies?

'Twas only a rumor...likely false at that.

I wouldn't mind Delonte... actually I would. Barbosa>West

Barbosa is 100X's > West

No. No. NO!

Delonte is and always will be one of my least favorite Celtics of all time.

I disagree.
Barbosa is great, but Delonte was the ultimate backup swing guard. Could go to the hole, hit jumpshots and has an overall very strong offensive game.

More importantly he brings a toughness that we need.
Guy plays with heart and leaves it out on the court every game.
Furthermore, and MOST importantly the guy is a fantastic defender and plays physical defense every night with grit, balls and heart.

Injury risk and a few off court issues but he seemed to avoid the social problems when he was here- he was just always hurt.

"Game 4: 4 minutes 28 seconds 87-81
Game 5:2 minutes 28 seconds 84-81
These are scores in the 4th period and time left in Games 4 and 5 in 2011 versus the Heat. The Celtics were ahead in both games and Rondo was hurt, playing with one arm."  -Pearl 131  So close, yet so far.

I think the last thing we need is another undersized shooting guard.

No need to keep collecting players from the 2007 debacle.

He had two chances here. No more.

I'd rather gamble on a player who is less of a known quality and who might have a future as a pass-first PG off the bench backing up Rondo.

Rather than delonte, I think the celtics may bring up another D league player.

Barrett on the red claws has played well of late. Averaging 11+ assists a game, only 8.3 points, not a good shooter. Problem is he is only 5' 11". Averaged 13 assists in last 3 games.

Other names include....

Courtney fortson. Great energy, but same height as barrett. Scores 19 points a game, 5.3 rebounds, and averages 6.5 assists a game. Shoots 40% on 3 pointers. Ranked the #1 prospect in the league.... At least on the D league home page.

Chris wright. 15 points, 7.4 assists, but a lot of turn overs.

Donald Sloan. 22 points per game, 6 rebounds, 5.2 assists. 6'3" and more of a shooting guard.

Celtics should take a look at Jeremy Pargo. He reminds me a lot of Nate Robinson, without the ill-advised 3's and with some good size for the position.

I'm really surprised no team has gone after him. I guess they're set for the PG position, something we're not after Rondo's injury...
