Yes its from chad ford lol,  But still got to see what people think on these rumors

Boston Celtics trade rumors about a Rajon Rondo trade popped up again on Wednesday (Jan. 23). During a live chat session, NBA analyst Chad Ford brought up the possibility of the Celtics trading Rondo to the Denver Nuggets. It's an interesting scenario that could certainly change the face of both franchises.

With the Celtics continuing to struggle and Rondo allowing Kyrie Irving to score 40 points on the team Tuesday night (Jan. 22), the team might need to seriously consider making a big move. This is where Ford states that the Nuggets could enter the equation because they have the assets that Danny Ainge would want to bring back to Boston.

Ford stated that, "Yes, they (the Nuggets) have two point guards already, but Rondo would be an upgrade on a team trying to compete right now and they have the pieces that could entice Danny Ainge to make a deal." It's hard to argue with that logic, but the question would become just how many assets that Nuggets would have to give up to make a deal like this possible.

It has been clear for a while that the Denver Nuggets are one of the deeper teams in the NBA, so they could probably absorb giving up a few players in a Rajon Rondo trade. It might require someone like Ty Lawson going to the Celtics, though, unless the plan would be to slide him to shooting guard.

Intriguing Boston Celtics trade rumors like this one are going to continue coming up until the Celtics get way above .500, the team pulls off a trade, or the NBA trade deadline finally hits. For fantasy basketball owners, this could be an interesting ride, especially if several good players end up switching teams in a blockbuster deal.

Makes no sense.

Nuggets need shooters.

Boston needs a facilitating, defensively sound, and good shooting PG.  Lawson is great for scoring, but that's about it.  Plus, I cringe at the idea of having a backcourt of 5'11" Lawson and 6'2" Bradley.

What are these "assets" that would entice us to trade Rondo? Lawson and Mcgee?

If we are dealing Rondo, then I would want Faried back in any deal.  Lawson would need to be in the deal as well.  I'd also include Sully if it meant we could also net Gallo too.

Denver doesn't have the assets to make an attractive trade package for Rondo.

Ty Lawson is a good start as a replacement PG but what else is there? Andre Iguodala or Danilo Gallinari? I wouldn't trade Rondo for T.Lawson + Iggy/Gallo.

They don't have much in the way of young prospects. They don't have talented big men. McGee is their best big man prospect and he is a major project. The Nuggets are not likely to have quality draft picks either.

So what can they offer to Boston that would make it worthwhile for the Celtics to part with Rajon Rondo? Looks a dumb trade idea by Chad Ford to me.

Surprising. Fans have discussed Cs-Nuggets, but only in terms of swapping shooters (e.g. Lee) for bigs (e.g. Mozgov). A trade involving Rondo would almost have to bring back a PG, plus we're in great need of serviceable bigs.

Gosh, I'm having trouble finding anything that works in ESPN's trade machine involving Rondo ...

Rondo for Faried and McGee works in the ESPN trade machine. That would certainly beef up the frontcourt.  ;D

I love how Ford makes up a "rumor" but doesnt involve any players to make any substance out of it.

"Rondo allowing Kyrie Irving to score 40 points on the team Tuesday night"

this is such a biased opinion. He dropped at least 30 over Bradley
