The standoff between Royce White and the Rockets is close to an end and White says he expects to report to Houston's D-League affiliate Feb. 11, the Houston Chronicle reports.
White told 97.9 The Box in Houston that he's waiting for "paperwork" that will outline a plan for Royce's return. "The resolution, when I say we’re in the 12th hour, what I literally mean is we’re in the 12th hour ... any hour now this thing will be over," White told the radio station. A person with knowledge of that plan told the Chronicle the paperwork in question is an amended version of the document White reportedly asked for earlier in January that would add extra mental health protocols to his standard NBA contract. Rockets GM Daryl Morey didn't comment on the report when reached by the paper.
