Not gonna lie. I would sign JO to play Collins' minutes.

Hard to say this, but, me too.

Absolutely -- J.O'Neal would be a darn fine backup center for the Celtics.

I would love to have him back in that role.
Immobile.  Poor rebounder.  No offense outside of garbage dunks and wide open 12 footers.  34 years old.

He's defensive specialist Collins in every way.  Except he's actually still good at defense.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

J.O. is not the greatest remaining center maybe heading into the market depending on what Phoenix management does with him spouting off. But he is definitely 5 times the player Collins is or ever was prime or present! Jermaine has always been the better player of those 2 so his past prime would be greater than Collins current way past prime.

Not for me, I do not want that heartless bum anyways near this team.

Didn't he want a buyout last year so he could go to the Heat?

Will Suns let PF/C Jermaine O'Neal go and if they did would he still be the same without Phoenix's extraordinary training staff that has clearly rejuvenated him?

No one thought he had something left for an 18th season, but clearly he does. A source says that his dispute with GM Lance Blanks was over the fact the Suns plan to diminish his role, something O'Neal did not want to see happen. With the array of teams that could use even the limited minutes O'Neal could provide as a rim protector and finisher -- including his previous team, the Celtics, along with the Heat and Sixers -- Jermaine assuredly would be snapped up if the Suns let him go. But looking at the phenomenal job the Suns' staff does in getting old bones to function like much younger ones -- is it an accident Grant Hill and Steve Nash left and instantly got hurt? -- it has to be a question whether O'Neal will remain spry somewhere else.
