This is essentially the same as leaguepass broadband but all games are in HD and its 49.99 or 2 payments of 24.99 for the full shortened season.

Just wanted to throw it out there for anybody on the blog that is out of boston but wanted to watch the Bruins or in boston and want to watch other games.  This is normally 20 bucks per month so 49.99 for the full season is a solid deal.

This is what the NBA should've done last season during the shortened season but didn't.  (And I refused to get last season because of)

$49.99 is pretty much a steal. Thinking of getting it so I can watch the Bs out here.

Luckily I'm in the Bruins' market, but I'd absolutely pay that if I lived elsewhere.  Smart move by the NHL.

Hats off to the NHL.  They owe their fans that.

Better than the NBA who charged full price last year.  That was a joke.

I agree Don's,  Im not sure if you can rig it with an out of town zipcode even if your billing address is in Mass, but it could be a good way to watch the bruins even as a Mass resident if that works

Wow, I'm super tempted to purchase this! 50 bucks for the 48-game season? NBA should learn from the NHL, they also provide home and away broadcasts.

Thanks for the tip OP! Definitely going to consider this.

Does NESN play Bruins games?

They do but only in the local market.  If you have NESN National, Red Sox & Bruins games are blacked out.

While the NHL has made some monumental mistakes over the years (the biggest one being choosing outdoor life network over ESPN in a moneygrab, along with some of their expansion and franchise moves), particularly lately they have been more clued in to the fanbase than just about any other sport.

They really do try to make the product as good for the consumer as possible.

I have NESN on Time Warner.  Just got it over the summer and I'm not a Red Sox fan so I didn't bother to watch.  I guess I probably don't have the games, which sucks, but oh well, I'm a Blue Jackets fan anyway (if you could call what I am a fan that is).

aren't they on NBC Sports Network, which used to be Versus?

When they signed the contract it was outdoor life network.  That then became versus, which then became NBC sports.

It had to keep changing its name because no one new it existed...which is what the problem was.  When its on ESPN, viewers just stop on by.  When you are on the Outdoor Life network, even those who want to watch, can't find the channel.
