The Big Lebowski Saving Private Ryan Collateral Dumb and Dumber Tommy Boy Billy Madison Chinatown Swingers Dark Knight American Psycho
Man that's hard. Especially since I consider comedy and other films so separately in my mind. Anyways, best I can do!

I just want to point out that Avatar stole from Last Samurai....which stole from Dances with Wolves...which stole from Little Big Man...which stole from Lawrence of Arabia
Avatar also is very similar to Pocahontas
In a manner of speaking I sorta think Gran Tourino is the best/most original going native type film I ever saw. For one thing not only did Clint go native but the kid did too. Maybe you just call that friendship but the kid in particular could be seen really going native. For example, in terms of how he spoke in the interview. Very interesting stuff. But the way Clint was with the grandma is pretty funny too

This is a good point. It's certainly one of the best and most original movies about race relations and also the passage of time and generations. Really great movie.

Edit: have to make it top 12: the Incredibles. it's not for everybody but I really like it

I always have had a tough time with this question. My "favorite" movies I refer to are the actually the best movies I've ever seen. Then I have an actual top ten "favorite" in which I could watch and have watch a million times over and over.
My ten "favorite" movies or really the "Best movies Ive ever seen" 1. Big Fish 2. Zodiac 3. Into the Wild 4. Finding Neverland 5. Reign Over Me 6. Clue (rest in no order) Dark Knight Seven Fight Club Garden State Blow The Town Big Lebowski
Then the ten "favorite" movies 1. Home Alone 2. Sandlot 3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pixar in one category; Up, Finding Nemo, Monsters Inc, Wall E, Toy Story 1,2,3, Blazzing Saddles Disney Cartoons; Lion King, 101 Dalmations, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan, Pinnochio Mrs. Doubtfire Jack Dumb and Dumber Billy Madison Happy Gilmore
The list could go on and on.
