I know it's not topic worthy but a positive Rondo thread was needed.

Its definitely topic worthy IMO...if a negative thread can be made about him every other day a positive one is definitely refreshing to see.

Plus! He's the only one who's under 6 foot 2 that has that many triple doubles. all the other record holders are 6 foot 4 and over!

TP to the OP.
Trade Rondo for XYZ or all the other threads along those lines are baffling! We have one of the best PGs in the league and we want to trade him. Bah humbug!!

His value is sky high right now. Let's trade him for garbage.

Of course in typical bird fashion, i can remember him saying he could of averaged a triple double for a season one of his mvp years which i believe oscar robertson did do

The trip-dubs are great, but they're sort of a red herring in terms of evaluating Rondo for anything other than his ability to have a really good game once in a while. Which is a worthy consideration. But it's not everything.
That said, Rondo played very well last night, particularly in the 1st and 4th quarter. Whether or not Rondo is playing well pretty much determines the kind of start and finish that this team has. Luckily we now have a clicking bench unit to make up for the slow starts. But it would be great if Rondo could get into a habit of starting games well more often than not.

One time some reporter (or reporters) was talking to Bird about triple doubles (because Magic had so many more than him) and he told the reporters they weren't that hard to get. He then proceeded to have 6 of them in the next 9 or so games.

Absurd! is my only reaction to both of these posts. But yes well done by Rondo yet again. He has a very sneaky way of getting triple doubles, most of the time I dont even realize he is close until he gets it at the end. Great game from him last night. Loved when he slapped hands with the crowd on the sideline after his patented behind the back fake. Only 7 years in the league and he's closing in on the top ten.

This was the highest shooting percentage that Rondo has had in a game where he recorded a triple double.

Not so slowly in the playoffs. He's likely to move into second all time this year.
