for some reason I'm not as upset/doom&gloom as I was the first time he was injured,I questioned then whether they could play well without him

 but theyve gone 5-1 without him this year(and still put up 30+ points in that loss)theyve still been playing well without him...41points tonight

as long as Ridley/vereen can keep running the way they have I like our chances

The NFL has a huge problem on its hands. RG III playing when he should not have been, Gronk the same thing, and all of the retired guys with brain damage from concussions. Professional football is still America's game, but it is going to have to get a handle on these injury issues moving forward. I put most if not all of the blame on the coaches and training staff for letting these guys come back before they are healed.

I really want to see Gronk play healthy in a big playoff game.  So far it's not to be.

Is Gronk's experience than different than Kevin Love's?

i'm not buying that we dont have enough firepower to beat the ravens.

in 6 games without Gronk this year we have gone 5-1 and have put up 30+ points in each game.

he definitely helps, but I think this team has shown it has been able to adapt offensively and still has been the best offense in the NFL.

The main thing that Gronk does is make it soooo much harder to gameplan for this offense.  You just can't cover Gronk.  He's especially valuable for the Pats in the red-zone.  As it is, within 5-10 yards the Pats need to punch it in with their run game, or try to get Hernandez open wide.  They don't have that huge target to run a route in the back / corner of the endzone and make a diving catch.  Gronk just adds another dimension to what this team can do on that side of the ball.

I'm a Ravens fan and they usually do a pretty good job on TE's.  I mean the game earlier this year Gronk only had 2 catches for 21 yards and Hernandez didn't even play. However, that duo had 12 catches for 153 yards in the playoff game last year and killed Baltimore all game long.  Gronk is a big loss, but obviously NE still has the firepower to win the game.

It's a significant loss but the Pats have proven they can win without him.  Hernandez is still a matchup nightmare and Vereen illustrated yesterday that he's an extremely difficult cover for LBs on passing routes.

Pats still have the weapons.  My concern remains on the defensive side and the fact that Flacco seems to play well every time they play the Pats.
