http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/boxscore;_ylt=AjLW66nuM4WGl4jJsQMWPWYUPKB4?gid=2010061713Upon looking back at the game we would have won with Perk, here a few things that stand out to me. - The Lakers got 56 minutes out of their bench, the Celtics just 30 minutes
- Tony Allen was -9 in just five minutes
- Out-rebounded 53 to 40
- 25 Celtics fouls to 19 Lakers fouls
- Rasheed played over 35 minutes, before fouling out
- Rondo just two rebounds short of a triple-double
- Kobe Bryant had 15 rebounds and Gasol had 18
- Derek Fisher made both of his 3's
- Artest had five steals, three fouls

Ray Allen: 3-14, lead the celtics with 4 turnovers. If Ray had made just 1 of his missed jumpers, just 1, we would have been right there at the end to win it.

Not a big deal, but TA's +/- numbers were bad because of his role as a defensive specialist. Late in quarters Doc would sub him in on defense and put Ray back in for offense. Since he'd be on the court when the other team was trying to score and on the bench when we scored his numbers looked bad.

don't forget, in the last minute, someone poked the ball away from fisher or kobe, and it barely bounced on the line and into our hands, would have been a wide open layup or 3pter... but overall I blame Ray for those series, and ever since i wanted him to be traded. he missed about 21 3pters in a row or something, refusing tho get himself some easier shots to get going...to break that streak he made a three at the end of game 7

one more thing that jumps out:
-the lakers shot 32.5% from the field and 67.6% from the FT line and still won the game!

Even more reason why I want the Lakers to get it together this season.
We both have our conference obstacles (OKC, MIA), but I'd absolutely LOVE to get ONE MORE grudge match with them this June.
PLEASE.
BOS owes the Lakers one. Clips, OKC, MIA - they can wait their turn.

A perfect playoffs would be for us to boot Ray Allen and his Heat 1st.
Then boot the Lakers.
Celtic Heaven right there.

Yep I'm haunted by this loss and also what it meant as far as Doc's bench ability. Baby was rebounding great in that game and we needed that. He could have a should have played more. Tony wasn't playing all that well but our starers wore down. Tony could have played a ton more. He was a pain in Kobes butt and it could have gotten Ray some rest. Finally, Scal played seconds and most of us know he was a solid defender and could also have provided more rest for KG, or even Sheed. We got exhausted and started using our hands on d in the 4th q. It was something like 22-4 free throws in the 4th. The refs were happy to pile on us.

I remember Sheed battling like a gladiator, he left it all on the court that night.

Agree with this big time. Ray stunk that one up offensively for sure. Very surprised to see Tony only get 5 minutes in the game and still hold Kobe to such a terrible shooting night. Him getting 15 rebounds is totally unacceptable though. And also, man, what a terrible bench we had.

The thing that doesn't show in the box score is that the refs allowed physical contact for three quarters, and then started calling touch fouls in the fourth (to the Lakers advantage).

Yes, excellent point. That was actually the biggest factor in the loss.
