I wish Danny would have just signed him this past off-season. He is a very good shot blocker and already knows the c's defense. It's not like Minny is playing him much anyway. He only gets about 10mpg, but is averaging over a block a game in 10 mins.

So how about

Bos sends: Barbosa, Wilcox and a 1st( I know he isn't really worth a 1st, but I'm not trading Sully or Fab for him)

Minny sends: Steamer

Would fit perfect next to sully or Bass too.

Steamah wouldn't be the big man I would pick to be our big fish problem solver but he is certainly what we would need coming off the bench. If we coulda signed him in the offseason it would have been great to have him back but I don't think I'd give up much for him at this point.

Too much to give for him, IMHO.

I believe Ainge didn't sign him bc we couldn't match the offer from Minn. And there is no way I'm giving up a first. Good guy and all, but not worth a first round pick.

Yeah you don't give up a first round pick for Stiemsma.

Thats way too much to give up.  I liked Steimsma while we had him but i really don't miss him.  Maybe i'd give up Wilcox only.  At least Steimsma actually plays.

If you give up Wilcox only the money won't be enough...which is the reason we don't have Stiemsma now.  I think even Minny would regret the 2.5mil Stiemsma is making.  He hardly plays and when he does I haven't seen him do much.  He hasn't been nearly as good in Minny as he was with Boston.

Because I think Stiemsma is proving that his play last year was mostly a result of the following:

a) playing with great players
b) getting a shot because we literally had no one else

Frankly, I wouldn't give up Wilcox or a pick for him.  Barbosa maybe because he's redundant.  But I really don't think Steamer is any better than Collins.  It's just that we now have more talented (albeit undersized) big men options to get minutes over them.

I'd be thrilled if Minny would trade us Greg and Cunningham for Bass, but can't imagine they would.

Minnesota has two first round picks in 2013.  They keep the better one between their own and that of Memphis, plus they have Utah's pick.  There is some protection on those picks, but it seems there would be a good chance that the T-Wolves would have three first rounders if they made the proposed trade.  I'm not sure that they would want three mid-to-late first rounders in what is considered to be a weak draft unless they wanted a trade asset, such as if they needed the pick to help in a trade for Pau Gasol.

Because Danny doesn't collect inefficient, useless players who fans thought were cool.

I wouldn't give Barbosa, Wilcox, or a 1st round pick for Steamer straight up, let alone a combination of all 3.

Steamer sucks, let's leave it at that.

Odds that Melo can give just about what Stiemer gave by the end of this year? I doubt Melo is too far behind.
