What did you see coming/not see coming in recent NBA history?

Called it: Avery Bradley - his defense was so amazing when I first saw him. I knew he wasn't a bust. Saw him being a role player but has surpassed expectations.

Did not see coming: Avery's return. He clearly has worked on his game and has not dropped off one bit. Did not see his return turning our season around.

Did not see coming: The Dwightmare ending the way it did. Getting Afflalo for Dwight Howard.

Did not see coming: Lakers sucking. I did not think they were going to live up to their hype but certainly did not think they were going to not make the playoffs. Love it.

Did not see coming: Me liking Fab Melo. Did not like the pick with his "questionable motor" and "rawness" but he's learning very fast and seems to have a nice attitude. Am rooting for him.

Called it: Wilcox. Many here called him a non-factor after being wowed by all our depth but he's been one of the few lone bright spots at the beginning of the season. His numbers have been crazy. Can't wait for his return.

Called it: Brandon Bass improving. It's unnoticed with him struggling from mid-range but he's been rebounding better and creating his shot a little this season. He works hard and as a fan I appreciate.

Did not see coming: Royce White. I thought he was going to go through this with a positive attitude and impress everyone.

Bradley: (didn't see it coming) I didn't think he would be as good as he has been. I thought maybe solid bench player, but certainly not legit starting sg.

Bradley's Return: (didn't see it coming) I thought he'd come back and help, but not like this.

Dwightmare: (Called it) It was too much of a mess for it to end well.

Lakers Sucking: (Called it sorta) I thought they were really overrated going into the season, but I didn't think they would suck this hard.

Jury is still out on Melo for me.

Let's see if Wilcox can stay healthy first.

I don't see much improvment for Bass imo. He's actually my least favorite C.

Royce White: (Didn't see it coming) I thought he was at the least going to be able to function and play.

This is where I am supposed to point out that I said Avery Bradley's future was as a starting SG during his rookie season.

There wasn't a lot that I called correct honestly.

Didn't realise how good/effective Sully will be in games that mattered, he just keeps getting better and better.

I kind of called Avery Bradley to be a boost for us, but, by no stretch of the imagination did I think he was going to be the team changer that he has been, remarkable to watch.

The Lakers demise is absolutely stunning to me...I thought they would struggle a little at the start, like Miami in 2011 (8-9), but, this is much worse than that...I would have never thought that they may actually miss the playoffs given the team that they had, I love it!

Called it: Bradley making an immediate impact to the team;

Called it: Austin Rivers is a bust (and we would have been fools if we traded up to get him);

Did not see it coming: Jason Kidd still hacking it in New york;

Did not see it coming: Dion Waiters playing well in Cleveland (i thought he would also be a bust);

called it: DA needs to keep our young core Rondo AB and Sully, and grow from within instead of trading any of them.

Did not see it coming: Lakers not hiring Phil Jackson after canning Brown.

Did not see it coming : AB turning our season so remarkably.

What I saw coming:  Bradley playing pesky defense
What I saw coming:  Bradley being a poor offensive player
What I saw coming:  An up and down .500 season.
What I saw coming:  The team getting a bit of a lift from Bradley's arrival.  They kinda couldn't stop using his absence as an excuse for their lack of effort... so it makes sense.
What I saw coming:  Sully having a big baby like impact off the bench... some points and boards.  That's what every said I should expect from him.
What I saw coming:  Green continuing to have an up and down season as he struggles with his backup SF role.

What I don't see coming:  This team standing pat with their roster and making the finals.  I figured we'd remain a .500 team until around the trade deadline and make a respectable little run.  I guess I'm not yet reading too heavily into a 5 game win streak following a stretch where we lost 8 of 10.  Seems to me that all fits with a .500 team.  I still think we have holes to fill... the fact we're winning some games and our players are playing well does wonder for their trade value, though.  I'm excited to see how it plays out.
