I seriously hope I'm wrong, but both the Bobcats and Hornets are the kind of teams that give us trouble in the regular season - young and scrappy, and not good enough to get up for.  Don't be shocked if one of them gets us.

Yep Celtics have a history of playing down to the occasion...but thats the Vets that have those let down...Sully and AB only know one way to play right now WIDE OPEN....

Hoping maybe Wilcox, Green , Bass, AB and Sully will all show up

If they keep playing like THIS?

We could seriously roll off quite a few in a row.

Remember that roll we went on to get to 39-27 last season?

Each year, our Celtics seem to put together some winning streaks...perhaps this is the time for one?

good grief can we just enjoy the ride for now :(

I would like for this win streak to last long enough that if it ends with a loss at home or a loss on the road to a middlin' team, the result in this forum isn't a deluge of threads about how this team isn't a real contender and how Ainge should blow it up and trade Rondo/Pierce/etc.

Of course, this team could reel off ten more wins in a row and some people would still post that sort of garbage during the streak.

I'm still going with a 7 game win streak snapped to the Bulls in game 8. Hey, I'll take it.

However if we beat the Bulls we can easily go on an 10 game win streak before facing the Knicks, Hawks, and Heat in a row.

January 14    Charlotte Bobcats
January 16    New Orleans Hornets
January 18    Chicago Bulls
January 20    @ Detroit Pistons
January 22    @ Cleveland Cavaliers
January 24    New York Knicks
January 25    @ Atlanta Hawks
January 27    Miami Heat
January 30    Sacramento Kings

I say our win streak gets cut by either NYK - "revenge" game for Melo and crew...or Atlanta - second night of a BTB, players may be too focused on upcoming Miami game

But realistically we should win at least 5 out of the last 9 games in January; Celtics have 6 home games, only 1 BTB, and play 5 opponents with a below .500 record.

I'd say this is a stretch they should win at least 7.  Obviously, it could go the other way.  You never know when the C's will decide to play with zero effort.

They really could benefit from a 7 + win result from the rest of this month.  I'd wager they'd move up the standings a bit.

I think the streak would last 7 or 8 games

But honestly, I can care less about standings now, I care more in March. Member early last season when the Knicks were #2 in the East standings, and Amare was a MVP candidate? Hahahaha good times

Can I just hope the streak never ends and we go undefeated for the rest of the season? :)

Yeah, I'm afraid I feel the same.

I was at the home game 2 years ago when Charlotte came in and beat the C's. Even so, it seems unlikely the way this team is playing defense right now.  I'll say 7 too.

"Carmelo Anthony and 3,000 of the national guard are reportedly waiting for the Boston Celtic on a small side street outside the Celtics Waltham practice facility. Normally the street is reserved for the bad kids who smoke there after school, but today's crowd had a remarkably more somber tone. Alledgedly KG said that Lala, Carmelo's girlfriend, 'smells like booty', and Carmelo has vowed revenge."
