Someone flipped the "beast mode" switch on Sully and then accidentally broke the lever.
I think he's stuck permanently in that mode now lol

This might make you feel better - over his last 5 games for Maine Melo is averaging: 16.4 points (51.5% FG, 70% FT) 9.4 rebounds 6.2 blocks 32.6 minutes He may still be far from a superstar, but he's certainly showing signs of his talent Melo currently ranks 1st in the D-league in BLKP48M, 4th in BLK/PF. If he does get called up anytime this season there is one thing we know for sure - the kid can block shots!

He certainly has the build for the NBA, it will be his head that determines his career. I want to see how he does in a man defense at the NBA level.

Thinking about some of what has been mentioned above, I'm really looking for to seeing Sully and Melo work together in the years to come - the two really are perfect complements.
Sully handling the inside scoring and cleaning up the boards, Melo protecting the paint and defending the P&R.
I see them making one hell of a front line 2 or 3 years down the track.
Throw Avery Bradley's perimeter D into the mix and that's a nice trio of young talent right there.
Green and Lee are starting to pick it up now too.
Jury still out on Rondo.

Sully is really looking like the top 5 pick everyone was talking about two years ago. Im reallyglad in a way the he had the bulging disc (insert Andy Katz here) and he fell to us. Such an intelligent player.
Still hoping he'd grow a couple inches like Paul George did. At 6'11" he'll be a beast. Get a ton of sleep, Sully.

That would be a gift from god. Sully at 6'11? The NBA would be in trouble

I think Melo has Tyson Chandler potential when he gets his mechanics sound.
He also has the potential makings of Mark Blount, after he signed his lucrative deal.
You don't see a guy average 6 blocks per game over any stretch unless he is playing hard.....yea it's D-league, and he's probably a monster compared to most guys he's guarding, but still. I got some faith in Melo.
Definitely regretting my strong comments to deal Sully + Bradley for Cousins. I still think it's worth it if it were to happen, but it's proving not to be a bad move to keep either of them around as far as "winning now" is concerned.
IMO though, this team is a quality starting Center away from title contention....

Sully is so good right now that i would not trade him for cousins on a 1 on 1 trade.
Unbelievable iq, motor, hands, strength, touch.
For the past 5 games he leads in nba + - at a ridiculous plus 66. When he is on the court the other team can't score properly and we go on runs. He is so important now that Doc had to sit him when he got his 5 fouls with 9 min left in the game just in case houston was going to comeback and sully had to come in to the rescue.

He's playing like a 5 or 6 year veteran out there. Not a rookie.

definitely. But let me add, he is playing like a vet out there but with rookie energy Danny lucked out big time. Now we just need sully to lose a bit more weight and take care of his lower back for a long future with the team

Exactly. Mike was right tonight, just reading his body language he knows he belongs where he is. Confidence is huge in this sport. Kids got it.
