I'm really happy for Sonics fans, but sad for Kings fans. I can't even imagine losing the C's.
Lets not mention such things.
Well there is no chance it'd ever happen, but certainly an awful thought. I'd be on the bridge ready to jump

I do not feel bad for Sacramento at all. They have a team not that far away in oakland called the Golden State Warriors.
also, what about Kansas City fans? You realize the kings were there before Sacramento?
Surely I'm not the only person on these boards who remembers the Cincinnati Royals. They became the KC Omaha Kings who eventually ended up in Sacramento. Of course Cincinnati stole the Royals from Rochester NY.

Ah yes, the Rochester Royals. Learn your history folks.
I wonder how many NBA fans actually know cities like Rochester, Cincinnati, Kansas City, San Diego, Buffalo, Fort Wayne once had real NBA teams? The Warriors used to play in Philly.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. But hey, it's a business and if the product is not selling, owners need to act accordingly. It's tough, most of all for the loyal fans (and we know how loyal the fans are in Sacto, they're some of the best) but like KG would probably say, "It is what it is". Ah yes, the Rochester Royals. Learn your history folks.

Not to mention Cincinnati, and Rochester, that franchise has been everywhere.

At least they kept it "majestic" When Seattle gets a team back, I really can't envision them being called anything else but the Seattle SuperSonics. Also, I think that fans in Portland will be very happy when this goes through. They get their Sonics-Blazers rivalry back, I'm sure the people up there (have) miss(ed) that.

The plan has always been for the franchise to reclaim the Sonics name upon returning to Seattle.
