A suspension for this would be a joke.
Though, the Flagrant Two and the ejection was a joke itself.

Note: Shouldn't those two Cousins ejection threads be merged somehow :)

Didn't even look like a flagrant, let alone a F2....don't they review these things?
They initially called it a flagrant 1 and then upgraded it.

It was his sixth foul apparently though.
Is this right?

I thought they only call regular flagrants (or "review-able foul") now and then choose the degree by monitor if at all.  Basically a lame way of protecting themselves because they know they can't get the calls right on their own.

Edit:  Or are you saying they upgraded it after the game?  Because that would be even more ridiculous.  And if so this would be a disqualification, not an ejection.

No they still call it a flagrant 1 or 2 on the court. Then they automatically review it with the option to change the call.

It used to be they could only review flagrant 2 calls.

In this case it was called a flagrant 1 and upon video review it was upgraded to a flagrant 2 during the game.

I think calling this a Flagrant 2 is a little excessive.  It's not ejection-worthy, in my mind.  It's also not something I hold against Cousins, despite his knuckleheadedness.

Ah thanks.  I didn't know that's how they were doing it.  Does this mean Dudley's foul on Rondo was officially changed to a flagrant before review, because that's not how they called it originally.  I knew they could get together to ask each about technicals or who the ball went off of, but I didn't know they could make a different call that far after the fact.  I guess they can just stop the game for any common foul now.

I only asked because I was reading differently prior to the season.

"So the call is 'flagrant foul' and then you go the tape, and you decide whether it's a 1 or a 2, or in some rare instance, maybe even a common foul," Stern said.
