Jarvis Varnado is expected to sign a 10-day contract with the Heat, sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Varnado was waived by the Celtics earlier in the week, but he was originally a second-round pick by Miami. The Heat will sign him as long as he clears waivers.

One more reason not to want Birdman.

The Heat rather take the extra body the Celtics discarded then Birdman.

Since the Heat are insistent on taking the Cs leftovers, is Micah Downs next?

JV was very disappointing in his garbage time minutes here.  Garbage time D league callups should at least provide some entertainment value by dunking the ball or goaltending shots into the stands.  JV did nothing like that.
