As an investor, I am also expecting good things for gold over the short term.

It's only worth what someone will pay for it. Good luck finding a fence that can move a one trillion dollar coin that Uncle Sam is probably looking for.

A fence would never give you what it is worth anyways.  But I agree it would be too hot to handle.  But you could Swiss Deposit it and live off interest perhaps, I still think pressure would be too great.

That's Woodrow Wilson if it's tough to make out.  We've also printed $10,000 (Salmon P Chase), $5,000 (Madison), $1,000 (Cleveland), and $500 (McKinley) bills, and actually publicly circulated all but the $100k bill for a short time.
