Prior to this 3 game win streak, I thought Celtics were in bad shape. They looked so dead, played no passion, didn't seem to care. I didn't think all was lost, but I thought Celtics needed a massive trade to even think about being championship contenders

But honestly now, with Avery and Sully playing with so much grit, fire, and passion, now only a few changes should be made. In this Knicks game, I saw that Celtics wanted to win, every possession counted, defense was a priority. And KG's craziness AKA that Celtics swagger came back  ;D

Celtics in my eyes, only seem a couple of tweaks away from being a great team. No need to part ways with important players for a trade. Just trade Bass and Lee for a serviceable big man, and theres no doubt Celtics would end up fighting for the 2nd or 3rd spot as definite championship contenders

Trading Lee will be a big mistake, no pun intended.

Trading Lee will be a big mistake, no pun intended.

Trading Lee will be a big mistake, no pun intended.

And why is that?

Maybe because he's playing well. Maybe because he's the only capable guard defender on the bench, maybe because you're one injury away from having a big hole in the guard rotation, maybe because Terry has shown time and time again that he's being misused and doesn't fit well with our personnel?

We want a big, that's cool, but I'd be very wary of getting it at the expense of Lee if with no appropriate replacement in mind.

Reality is that if a big trade happens, then Lee is probably part of the equation because he's an attractive asset, which is why I'm more in favor of a small trade in which you can just move someone like Bass, maybe include Barbosa or Melo, or a pick and get a someone who better fits with our bigs.

That said, I'm not sweating it, once Wilcox returns the rotation should look more solid, and with a free-agent pick-up who can give us some decent spot minutes at the center, something better than what Collins provides, and we should be good.

But I'm quite certain that Lee will be key to have success this year. Doc has him in a very limited role at the moment, but even that is very useful... there's a reason why our bench has been playing well in the last few games, and he's been a big part of it with his defensive presence.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Well, He wants to be here. He played really good defense today as well.
I like Marcus Smart

Barbosa
Collins
Bass
Melo
Terry
Green
Wilcox
Sully or Lee

No doubt the Celtics are ONE good BIg away who can block shots and give 10 and 10  everynight

It doesn't have to be Cousins, but he has to be steady and reliable .   Varejao is my pick , but GOrtat "MIGHT" work ....if we don't have to give up AB or Sully.

Well, He wants to be here. He played really good defense today as well.

Team him up with Bradley, and we have one hell of a defensive back court. Plus he gets the nod from doc to be the reliever of Rondo on PG.
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

They should pickup Birdman, I know this guy has had issues in the past, and had a recent one too. (look into it further, i think he's innocent)

but this guy is pure energy and hustle, and hes huge too.
the celtics need this kind of player, we need a bat *poop* crazy guy on our team.

ps i know KG can be crazy, but we need someone mental, and thats chris birdman andersen.

I don't want to trade Bass because I like the starting units chemistry they have built up. I know lots of people don't like Bass but I think he comes through for us when it matters most usually and gives us much needed athleticism we've lacked in years past.

Trading Lee will be a big mistake, no pun intended.

And why is that?

Because defensively he is really turning it on.  He is our best option to backup both Rondo and Bradley.  He is a better all-around player than JET at this point in his career.

I don't want to trade anyone right now.  I love the depth this team has.  When Jason Terry is buried on your bench, you have good problems.
