If KG had done this to Melo David Stern would've personally called a press conference to announce his outrage, burned down KG's house, kicked his dog, pooped in his shoes, and retroactively nullified Carmelo's 15-game suspension from a few years back.

Someone would probably try and remind him that he's not actually in charge of suspensions, but he would just smirk at them, briefly fart the Green Acres theme song, have Adam Silver hand him a mic so he could drop it on the floor, and do a three-step handshake with THE MEDIA on his way out the door.
Why would you post this? It makes no sense since it is Melo who got a 15 game suspension from the league office, not KG.

Perhaps things are different in fantasy land where the league hates the Celtics.

You didn't get the joke old boy.

Going back to an old Simmionsism: it's about a girl.

(I'm saying that with inside sources at least equal to those of Sherod Blakely)

(That means I made it up)

The most likely scenario is that Doc doesn't think it's all that big a deal and doesn't want to get too involved.

But if we want to get all speculative and machivalian about it, Doc attaches a funny tongue in cheek quote to the incident on his behalf, and still gets to do it without being an informing source. So he looks coy and funny, while the NY media and others actually recount the incident in detail, keeping the story about Melo, wihout quoting him as a source.

I don't think it's anything you need to speculate about, that's totally Doc's style.

What a good, tough, hard fought, physical basketball game where the right team won.

Too bad that punk tried to upstage it with those stupid shenanigans.  That really ticks me off, and I hope the league throws the book at him.  It seems that they have plenty of evidence of him acting like a complete and utter moron.

Give him ten games on the sidelines.

Sully brings some much-needed perspective to the whole flap:

I love the attitude on this kid.  Fun to root for.  Doesn't hurt that he's growing before our eyes, either.

Agreed on all parts. And he's a rookie now. He'll be a 18 and 10 guy someday.

His critics will say he's undersized, they'll be right. But he'll keep on being awesome.

Spoiler: Nothing really happens but he was definitely there.  Reports are mixed on whether he was in fact wearing a fancy scarf.

18 and 10?  That might be a bit too high.  He's going to have to find a way to score in the lowpost against bigger, more athletic defenders and become more explosive finishing around the basket.  Jumpers, some offensive putbacks, nice cuts to the rim and free throws can only add up to so much over the course of a full season.   I'd say 13 and 10 with maybe 3 assists might be possible.

Eh, you rate him a bit lower than I do. I see vintage Boozer.
