DeMarcus Cousins' new agent Dan Fegan met with Sacramento Kings' general manager Geoff Petrie on Monday to discuss his client's future with the organization.
Cousins has had several incidents over the first part of the 12-13 NBA season and has been the subject of trade speculation.
Fegan did not request a trade for Cousins during the meeting.
The Kings continue to be adamant that Cousins won't be traded. Via Sam Amick/USA Today http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/225473/Cousins_Agent_Meets_With_PetrieThey didn't request a trade, but hopefully they were talking about possible destinations After watching Avery tonight, I might have to reconsider Rondo for cousins and Brooks hmmmm (Half kidding)

Sac shouldn't even consider that. not checking the $ but Sac should ask for Ibaka. probably Cousins/Salmonsfor Ibaka/Perk essentially -- I can't see OKC shipping out a vital frontcourt player to get Cousins

yup. Rondo was right about AB and that he would change things up for the team. What a little bulldog. In your face defense from the start to finish. I mean does he ever get tired? right now , no point of trading Green, Lee or Bass unless they, themselves brought us DMC. Terry has his purposes but only for the last 5 min left in the 4th quarter.

I wonder if Cousin's didn't take yesterday rumor lightly and is ready to pack his bags to play for the Celtics.

Thunder don't have money to pay DMC after his current deal. Wouldn't make sense for them to trade their Harden-haul for a year or two of Cousins when he's still developing into the player he's going to be.

I was walking along the road with two friends the sun was setting suddenly the sky turned blood red I paused, feeling exhausted, and leaned on the fence there was blood and tongues of fire above the blue-black fjord and the city my friends walked on and I stood there trembling with anxiety and I sensed an infinite scream passing through nature.

Just to throw it out there, the whole "didn't request a trade" thing means nothing.
That is EXACTLY what an agent is supposed to say, after he requested a trade. If it gets public that he requested a trade, then it just kills the King's negotiation power to make a deal happen. Essentially, the conversation would go like this:
Fegan: As you know, my client is not happy, and he would like to request that he be traded. He would prefer to be traded to one of these teams, where we think he will be a good fit.
Petrie: We want to trade him too, but he is too valuable to not get a major return on, so Demarcus needs to help us out here. He needs to keep up the good play, be a good citizen, and most importantly, keep his mouth shut about wanting out. We will do our best to find a deal that gets him where he wants to go if he can play his part.
Fegan: Absolutely.
Then Fegan leaves the meeting, tells Amick that they are committed to making it work with Cousins staying in Sacramento, and Petrie gets back on the phone with Danny.
...of course, if the team is really being sold, then I am sure any deal is on hold, so the new owner can weigh in on what to do with their best asset.

Yeah, I think the first rumor was that the team had been sold. As in it was sign, sealed, and delivered. Based on the wordings of all of the denials, it sounds like the deal may be in place, but it just isn't finalized yet.

How about Westbrook? OKC has Maynor, an starter-quality PG picking up scrub minutes. Durant + Cousins would be a scary inside outside combo.
