Is it wrong that the Laker's pain makes me happy? Am I a bad person?
No...thier luck and help and karma has finally run out ...I never saw a team get EVERYTHING they want or need when they need it the most. It almost like the ALiens or something mystic is going on. Its time for the Laker Nation to watch from the sidelines a while like the rest of us did for 23 years.

Don't be surprised if LA misses the playoffs then wins the draft lottery

Who they have they only have Nash, Kobe, Clark, Ebanks, Morris, Meeks, Duhon ,World Peace and Jamison available
ebanks and Morris never play
they tallest player are Jamison and Artest ouch Sacre is on NBDL anaheim right now i think how are they going to face a road trip with 8 players
Theyre somehow screwed with
Howard, Gasol, hill, Johson Odom, Blake and Sacre out
Yeah, there's talk of them starting Artest at center. Crazy talk.
as Jamison is playing 4 minutes a game, is Artest or Kobe. or soon to be a laker, Vernado...

hope so and that's it's not protected. that would be a sweet way to kick them when they're down

They seriously could be entering the position to tank this season depending on how bad Howard's shoulder is.
If they were to win the lottery I'd puke.
If the Lakers win the lottery, Phoenix would pick first (via the Steve Nash trade).
I have nothing against Phoenix and the Lakers have little incentive to tank for the benefit of the Suns.
2013 first round draft pick from L.A. Lakers The L.A. Lakers will send the least favorable of their own 1st round pick (top-14 protected), Cleveland's own 2013 1st round pick, Sacramento's own 1st round pick (top-13 protected) and Miami's 2013 1st round pick to Phoenix. If the L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick is within the top-14 selections, Phoenix will automatically receive the L.A. Lakers' 1st round pick. [L.A. Lakers-Phoenix, 7/11/2012] via RealGM
Oh wow, that's gotta suck for LA. No upside anywhere for them then.

They should sign Chris Andersen. Even on a 10 day contract or something. Let Andersen show the rest of the league he can still be a valuable contributor. Just get it done quickly and put him out on the floor while Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill are out (short term injuries?).

Howard/Hill out a week, and who knows with Gasol's concussion those can be two or three days or linger for a long time. Didn't Doug Collins have issues for over a month?

Given that a concussion practically ended Marc Savard's career, it all depends on the severity.

Yeah, they've recalled Sacre and said that he'll be starting at center. Ron Artest is supposedly going to play some center for them as well. That is the lineup I can't wait to see.

In february i'm going to travel from the Netherlands to Boston to see them play against the Lakers and 2 other teams. The constant Laker injuries increase my changes of seeing the Celtics win against the Lakers. A win will be a dream come true. Or im i just cruel?
As a C's fan, not cruel at all. It's well deserved unwell wishing. I'm going to my first Celtics-Lakers game this February as well. Cheers!

I'd be surprised if Gasol isn't super cautious with this concussion. He has a strong medical background and isn't going to mess with possible long term impact to his brain. And he shouldn't, even if the Lakers have to play Nash at center.
Torn labrum for Howard sounds serious. I wonder if D Ho might just decide that the lights in LA are too bright for him and just go play for Mark Cuban. This summer, the Lakers can save his salary slot and weaken the Clippers by aggreeing to a S and T with Dallas where they take Marion's expiring $9m deal and sign FA OJ Mayo.
Then Dallas will have the caproom to sign Chris Paul. The Lakers can move Marion's expiring deal in season in another Pau deal from a team with a disgruntled big and cap issues.
