Wow...I'd hate to see them go out like this, but considering how BOS has been cheated of Rings, Banners, etc - due to injuries......

Yeah, no joke. KG's knee and Shaq's Achilles cost them (I figure) 2, maybe 3 rings.

Not to mention all the top-name bigs the Lakers get.

Exactly.

I still cry when I think about 08-09. That team had a 27 game winning streak....looked unstoppable, even with a thin bench.
19 game winning streak.

I hope they DO get the #1 pick, because it promptly goes to the Phoenix Suns. As much as we like to joke, it's not like they ACTUALLY got Nash for nothing (just as close to nothing as is physically possible)

lol...if THAT happens, then I'm starting to believe the conspiracy theorists around here on the Blog..

The funny thing is that even IF that happens, there is no way that LA can cheat Father Time - just ask BOS.

LA is looking at a 35 year-old, banged up Kobe, and a 39 or 40 year old Nash next year.

You can only prop open the window but so much before it breaks.

At least Danny did a fine job shoring up BOS over the summer. Sully has played well, Green has been a decent sub for Pierce, and Jet and Lee have helped.

LA is in trouble.

And Perk's knee, too(09-10)...seeing him on the sideline in street clothes while Kobe and Pau played volleyball in that game 7 brings back bad memories...Sheed played well, but was done after that 1st qtr...seeing KG barely able to jump.....

KG had 3 rebounds in that game... notch 2010 to KG's knee as well.

Is it wrong that the Laker's pain makes me happy? Am I a bad person?

I can understand where you're coming from.

As a BOS fan, seeing our bitter rivals having to go through some of the same things we've gone through since 08-09, it does give you a sense of balance, I'd say.

Perhaps BOS isn't the only team that has crippling injuries.

Mitch Kupchak can still pull off another highway robbery  before/at the trade deadline and turn this around.

True, but depending on how bad the shoulder turns out to be, Howard is virtually untradeable as he will possibly provide nothing this year and then will be an FA.  Who would trade a bundle for that?  Gasol has been playing below par and now has a concussion. If the concussion resolves quickly and he returns to form, he'll be a valuable chip, but has a $19M salary that needs to be matched somehow.  I don't think teams are going to give top talent for him.  At best, Lakers get a few roles players.  Lakers probably see a better light at the end of the tunnel waiting for his contract to expire.  Kobe may be their top trade chip!  Of course that's 21M to match.

I would love to see the Lakers go down hard and see Dwight leave at the end of this year -- that would be the best.

Who they have they only have
Nash, Kobe, Clark, Ebanks, Morris, Meeks, Duhon ,World Peace and Jamison
available

ebanks and Morris never play

they tallest player are Jamison and Artest ouch
Sacre is on NBDL anaheim right now i think
how are they going to face a road trip with 8 players

Theyre somehow screwed with

Howard, Gasol, hill,  Johson Odom, Blake and Sacre out

Yeah, there's talk of them starting Artest at center.  Crazy talk.
