How about this?
http://www.celticslife.com/2013/01/report-celtics-very-involved-with.html

Quote
Boston became more aggressive on Sunday in its pursuit of Cousins -- who has been rumored to be on the trading block despite public denial by the Kings' organization -- and while Celtics general manager Danny Ainge would like to make a move sooner rather than later, he is hesitant about trading heralded third-year guard Avery Bradley. According to the source, Ainge would rather move Courtney Lee -- who was acquired by the Celtics in a sign-and-trade deal with the Houston Rockets -- than Bradley.
all coming from the same garbage source. The blogs without integrity will pretend like it's actually got some basis in reality.  It's not hard to come up with bogus rumors when fans are desperate for bogus rumors.  We know Boston needs bigs.  We know Jan 15th is a big date.  We know we are overloaded with guards.   If you're a desperate blog, just say, "Boston celtics are on the verge of trading (insert random expendable CEltics here) for (Big Al/Gortat/Varejao/Josh Smith/Cousins/Milisap/Dalembert/Pau Gasol)" and fans will eat it up.

I am definitely eating it up and was supposed to be in bed an hour ago  :D

And if there is any validity to Avery being the hold up, I hope Danny can still get it done with Lee [even though I have become a fan of his]. It might not be totally similar to the Rondo / Telfair hold up in the KG deal, but look how that one turned out...

* EVERY DOLLAR HELPS:

By our rough per-game calculation, the Celtics save about $275,000 by cutting Joseph after 33 games. That's right around what a late-season, veteran-minimum addition would cost. Considering the Celtics are hard-capped at the $74.3 million tax apron -- and roughly $71.2 million is committed to current costs -- every available dollar gives the Celtics a little bit of extra wiggle room to maneuver later in the season.

Interesting about this rumor coinciding with the roster moves though.

The "rumor" was started by A. Sherrod Blakely, who decided to read the tea leaves about the roster moves.  Rather than going with the obvious -- the Celtics waived a couple of non-guaranteed contracts right before the deadline to do so, as several other teams did -- Blakely and his "source" invented something about a "blockbuster".

There is no rumor.  It's unethical nonsense from a supposed journalist.

Money wise, as of Jan 15th.

Green, Lee, Sully, Melo, picks

for

Cousins, Garcia (expiring due to team option), Brooks and Travis outlaw should work.

Rondo/Brooks/Barbosa
Bradley/Terry/Garcia
Pierce/Outlaw
KG/Bass
Cousins/Wilcox/Collins

Works

I stopped believing A. Sherrod when he was as sure as day that Christmas would get the last roster spot. His very close "sources" told him that only for it to be completely false.

Yeah, and wasn't he proven wrong like 24 hours after his report?

Interesting about this rumor coinciding with the roster moves though.

The roster moves are logical due to salary cap reasons.  It's completely predictable that some people might try to interpret the moves as something more than that.

Every time something occurs with "suspicious" timing, there are conspiracy theorists out there ready to leap at the conclusion that there is something deeper going on.  (See, for a recent example, those who immediately jumped on the notion that Hillary Clinton was faking a head injury.)

It's pretty easy to see how someone might combine Ainge's known interest in Cousins with the opening of roster spots and report as fact the speculation of a source that the two might be related.  If it was believed Ainge had no interest in a deal with Sacramento, then a different rumor with another team would have popped up.

If there is any truth to this rumor, I suspect it would be from a source within the Kings organization who finds the offer underwhelming and wants to see another bid from a team which can offer a better draft pick as part of the deal.

I haven't believed any of these rumors/sources, but I'm starting to think this could be a case of where there is smoke, there is fire.

Too many rumors (even as nonsensical as some of them are) to not start believing that Ainge is going hard at SAC and may even be making some headway.

I don't believe we make any (significant) move without Bass and/or Green, therefore nothing is getting done this week, but perhaps an agreement can be made.

I guess we should just stay tuned. If something is going to happen, it will most likely be sooner rather than at the deadline (Ainge does not want a repeat of 2011, leaving Doc too little time to make it work).

Come on the Celtics would hold up on a trade for Cousins because of Avery freaking Bradley? I mean I like AB too but come on do you want Cousins or not? If not, move on, if you want him expect to offer fair value. Sully is a role player at best probably Bradley as well. You do this deal in a heartbeat
