I swore I would never go back to NHL after the last lockout..but slowly over time, I embraced them and now, they once again repeated their blunder from years before. Beyond disgusted at this charade once again.

The NHL will need to do a lot to get the fans back this time. A good start might be free NHL package for remainder of year but I am sure that wont happen. I will probably tune in when the Bruins play their first playoff game but I am beyond disenchanted again

As much as the league seems to continually shoot themselves in the foot, its good to have hockey back.

I guess that's cool.

I am not really a hockey fan so it didn't affect me that much. Basketball is the only sport I truly enjoy (and baseball, but the Red Sox haven't given me much to cheer about ???)

I am kind of giddy about this.  Not only is Hockey back, but I LOVE the compressed season.  Loved it for the C's last year, and love it even more for the B's.  There should be either a C's or B's game on every night!

I will say though, this is probably a bad trend, if the NHL is as successful in the shortened season as the NBA was last year.  I think owners might be seeing that having that compressed season, while not great for overall revenues, can actually increase interest a bit, rather than hurting it.
