I get that we are missing pieces, Center spot mostly, but the C's are clicking right now, and finding themselves and I think the chemistry is building.

Why not keep supporting this team and see what this full line up can do.

Just saying!

Trade ideas are fun and easy to throw out there. Plus it's all about improving the team as no team is perfect.

True, I agree, to a point, but its not like we are a part of the management, be realistic, we (as fans) have no influence on player movement. Nada. Zilch.
Some fans on here, talk like its the end of the world if we dont get a certain player/players or get rid of our players for that matter. And they also think they know what they're talking about, and everyone else is wrong. Come on, none of us have ever worked for any NBA teams, we have no idea on whats going on behind the scenes.

I'm just gonna sit back and enjoy the ride.
With or without trades.

I think the losung streak has to do with it. Sure we are winning right now but we still need sone important pieces to get us to the top.

One win or one loss shouldn't change whether or not to make a trade.

It's not like we just got a sudden streak of good play completely out of nowhere.

There's a reason (several actually) why we've played better the last two games.

1. Bradley is back - his defense has had a huge impact, and his effort has rubbed off onto others on the team

2. Terry is back to the bench - we brought him here to give us consistent scoring and leadership off the bench, but with Bradley out we need to start him.  Now he's back in the role he's excelled at his whole career, and the role he was supposed to be in all along.

3. Doc moved Bass into the starting lineup - with Bradley back this gives us the exact same starting lineup that was so succesful for us in the second half of last season.  It's not a coincidence that as soon as this lineup comes back, we start playiing good basketball again.

4. Collins to the bench - starting Bass moves Collins to the bench, and that means we almost always have a big 7-foot guy out there to take up space and defend the paint, even when KG sits

A combination of all these factors has led to the dramatic change in play from our four game losing streak to our current 2 game win streak.

It's not just the fact that we won, it's the fact that we won two games played on back-to-back nights against two playoff calibre teams, and we held both teams to an average of 78 points and won by an average margin of 13 points.

That's not just winning, that's winning Celtics style - with defense, with effort and with heart.  THAT is the difference between this two game streak and every other game we played this season.  I don't believe it's a fluke either - I belive it's because of all of the factors I've listed above.

So now that we've won two games, why not see how we go on the rest of this tough stretch?  Maybe if we can put off 3 or 4 wins over this tough 5 game stretch we can finally be confident that something has changed.

Trade ideas are fun and easy to throw out there.

Trade ideas are fun if they are realistic.  Most trade ideas thrown out here tend to rely on other teams magically valuing the GLBT bloc of Green, Lee, Bass, and Terry way more than the poster proposing the trade.

GLBT! haha good one! Yeah, somehow they think that some NBA teams are going to give up their best players, for our bench players..

After two wins we are suddenly "clicking"... a mediocre team tends to win half their games.  We could get blown out in our next game and everyone who is saying we are "clicking" will be right back on the "trade everyone!" panic mobile.   I like to cut out the middle man and stay the course with facts... I don't care about a couple random wins.  This team has problems.  I hope we can fix them through trades.

Danny once made a major trade after a 5 game win streak.  Luckily he's not as wishywashy as Celtic fans.  I feel the same way about this team today as I did last week... we have too many backup shooting guards and not enough starting big men.  Two wins isn't going to change Danny's goal.

Well, either we trade guys because they're hot or we trade them because they suck.

And either way, it's a win-win situation ;)

I'm not arguing with the points you made, but it's better if we could go out and win a couple of games before strengthening the team via a trade.

As you said, we aren't GMs in this league. We do have the right to be bathed in joy when we win a couple of random games. Danny doesn't :)

It is very interesting that we have played so well these last too games, and against playoff teams.  I think the trade talk is fair though but consider the context of the trades.  There are win now trades, there are blow it up trades, and there are trades that are a little of both (and not really either).

So the question isn't so much do we make a trade now that we are on a winning streak, heck, even LAC or OKC may make a trade to shore up a weakness, the question is what kind of trade.  How much of our future (Bradley, Sullinger, Melo, Rondo) are we willing to give up to get a win now big guy.  Or, at what point are we willing to trade an older contributor (interesting that Rondo is in this group also) for a younger player with future upside.

I think Danny will stay kind of in the middle of this (this was last week when we were losing and this week when we are winning), he is not going to sell the farm (or any of our young farm animals) to win now but he is also not going to move any of the veteran core either, unless things go really bad; much "badder" than a holiday week losing streak.  If this is the case, then I think he has it about right.

I was at the game last night in Atlanta.  Over half the crowd was dressed in green,  and the only cheers you heard was "let's go celtics". It's like that every time I go to a game in Atlanta.  We met a couple there from Boston,  and they said they had gone to celtics away games in Memphis,  la, Houston,  and new Orleans.  They said there was a sea of green at every game.  I say all that to say celtics fans are loyal and spoiled.  We are used to winning,  and with kg on the team everyone realizes the time is now for another championship run. We all see the teams deficiencies and want that fixed.  We want more than a few regular season wins.  We want to really compete for a championship.  Winning is great obviously,  but last year's run and the run that lead to a loss to the Lakers in the finals were special to me to.  Those runs and the championship in 08 showed the heart of this team,  and set the expectations for this group going forward
