That's awful news. Hate to see something like that happen to a talented kid like Love.

yea, and Rubio is out with back problems supposedly due to compensating for his knee.
Huh.  Anyone know how to compensate for your knee with your back?  I would've guessed it was his body getting back up to speed.

Wolves won't even trade Love's old, discarded cast for Collins.

I think you have to use your muscles in your thighs, hips, and back to maintain your balance in compensating for a bad knee.  So, remaining upright during vigorous activity will put additional stress on those muscles in a way you are not used to.

So frustrating. I was at the Wolves game tonight (visiting a friend in MN) and watching Pekovic head to the locker room was just a stomp on the throat. Gotta give the team credit for fighting their way to .500 despite this ridiculous injury bug. The Wolves just can't catch a break.

On another note, after watching Steamer tonight I'm no longer missing him as much as I was. I keep thinking that he would help the Cs with his size, but he still seems unsure about how to use his body effectively. Sully's instincts are much more polished. I don't think Stiemsma would do any better for us than Collins.

I'll take that deal if it comes up though.
