there's a reason to be optimist. They're playing like hot garbage right now, they should be losing by 30.

Come on, Doc, if Rondo is hurt let him heal...

Play Bradley/Lee together, we need stops to save our lives.

Go Celtics!

I don't think hurt is the problem tonight. Stupid is the problem.

C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

Is that Bass + Sullinger with the big wings? Oh good, Garnett.

They need KG back to there to help on Lou Will's penetration against Green.

Bad first quarter but they have kept the deficit to 11.

Now just chip away at it and try to go in even or close to even at the half

We have ourselves an optimist.

If we're supposed to be happy about being down only 11 after 12 minutes... well, that's pretty pathetic.

There's about a 5% chance they come back to make a game of it, and 95% chance they lose by 15+.

No, instead, we have ourselves a math genius who can estimate the outcome of a basketball game.

Hey alajet, you can send me my Math Genius Award when they lose by 15+.

p.s. I'd love nothing more than for them to have a phenomenal 2nd half and win by 20.  Just doesn't seem like that kind of night.

Try to get this deficit down to 10-12 points by the half

D is tightening up, but Atlanta's shooting great.  And so far loose balls all going the other way.

Nice block by Bass. Of course out of bounds.

By the way, this is the Celtics M.O. this season - one step forward, two steps back.

We have to stop misreading that "one step forward" as actual progress.

This team stinks.  They need to be re-shuffled.  Trades need to happen.  Ainge's patience is only going to last until JANUARY 15th, when he can finally trade everyone who doesn't have a no-trade clause.

If Pierce and/or Green don't start giving more, I want Doc to go small and matchup against Atlanta with Rajon Rondo + Avery Bradley + Courtney Lee on the perimeter together alongside Garnett and Sullinger.
