Unbelievable.  This is the C's defense I've been waiting for.

Agreed, but you do have to take into consideration how bad the Pacers offense is. Still, pretty impressive D.

Very true, but the rotations have been crisp and I can see the effort.  We can turn this season around if this effort remains consistent.

Agreed, but need to see it on a consistent basis and see it against good offenses that have a point guard

Got to give Doc credit, he's trusting Sullinger tonight, and has done a good job so far with the rotations, although I'm sure Bass' foul trouble had some role in it.

28 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists for Cousins tonight against Toronto.

Continuing his strong run since his suspension.

The defense looks better for a couple reasons.

1.  It's the Pacers
2.  Rondo looks back up to speed and unhindered
3.  Bradleys ball pressure is unbelievaable considering how much time he's missed
4.  Lee has also been playing some inspired defense
5.  Sullinger has benefited from the better perimeter defense immensely as it takes a lot of pressure of him doing rotations and picking up the man off him.  He's been able to put more energy into rebounding and boxing out his man.

Also another thing to note is the lineups.

Rondo - Bradley - Pierce - Sullinger - KG
that lineup has been brilliant. but also...

Bradley - Lee - Pierce - KG - Collins
has been a pretty good lineup as well with some stout defense.

Really Rondo-Bradley-Pierce-KG with any combination of Sullinger, Bass, and maybe Green/Collins is going to be our best lineup.  Kind of leaves Terry hanging out to dry but that's just how it is.  We can't go THAT small with Rondo-Terry-Bradley-Pierce-KG.

Hopefully Sullinger's emergence means Bass's departure.

Bass is in foul trouble, don't read too much into it.

Hopefully Sullinger's emergence means Bass's departure.

People are quick to forget how Bass played for us last year.

He was a 6th man of the year candidate until he was pushed into the starting lineup where he STILL performed at a high level.  Was great on the pick and roll defense and was a knockdown shooter.  People don't just forget how to shoot overnight (Lee).  Eventually his shot will start going down.  He's a hard worker, he's not Demarcus Cousins where it's just laziness.  You have to give him time to get back in a groove.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.
Meanwhile in Washington, Nene makes the game tying hook shot.
I like Marcus Smart
