Go back to the missing personel of the 2008 Championship Celtics team and take a look at who's missing:

1) PJBrown (tough big)
2) TAllen (tough and energetic guard)
3) JPosey (tough energetic SF/PF)
4) LPowe (tough PF)
5) BBD (tough, clever -sometimes crazy - energetic PF)
6) KPerkins (tough growlling C)

Yes, they aren't all-stars, but those guys were the heart of the team.  And exactly what we lack.

Heck, even Sam Cassell played with an attitude/swagger.

This team doesn't have enough high grade offensive talent. So if it is going to make a run in the playoffs, I believe it's going to be on the back of it's defense.

Danny needs to strongly consider trading some of these supporting cast players for superior defensive options (interior defense to help KG + better defensive wing behind Pierce).

I think guys like Ariza and Okafor could be major additions to the Celtics.

Agree, though some of it has to do with time of year......we had a great defensive team last year after Bradley came back......we need to find a way back to that without burning out  pierce and Garnett.  Okafor would help.....haven't seen Ariza in ages..

They need to learn to play defense  "TOGETHER" and not expect KG to bailthem out of every play.

I wouldn't put Big Baby in the same category as those guys.  Although he did give us energy, as did House.

I like that team up against any of today's contenders.  The Ubuntu was huge and we were never the same without it.
