when he backed down Smith, then instead of shooting had a very nice pass out of the paint for an assist he really showed his iq. super impressive for a rookie

Sully's physical strength is hugely impressive
definitely. Like the way he cut to the middle today, received passes and made some nice baskets in. He always seems to make one or two key jump shots. A few good passes. No turnovers or mistakes (except when he fouled Williams). |

Even the homer announcers for Atlanta , had high praise for Sully. He plays like a vet most of the game. his defense is getting better, Not many rookies are ALL AROUND this good. And WOW ...there I was wanting ROyce White  |

Sully's physical strength is hugely impressive I don't even think he has scratched the surface folks. His combine were bad and I bet he lifts with the team all the time now. He could be like Karl Malone in physique if he sticks with it. |

Sully was playing borderline elite defense out there for a good portion of this game, and I don't even need to mention his rebounding ability or his effort levels.
Offensively he's solid as well.
At the start of the season we were talking about Terry and Green as potential 6MOTY candidates, but if Sully keeps improving at this rate (and if Boston as a team keeping winning as they have the last two games) then Sully might get some consideration himself.
Has a rookie ever won 6MOTY?

Love the strength of Sully but the thing that really strikes me about the kid is his motor.
Just seems to keep going non-stop.

good points. the next area he needs to improve is consistency. he will get there too. next, his jump shot is not consistent right now. he isnt shy about taking it, but isnt making it consistently yet. his form looks good and it looks as if he expects it to go in. these are good signs and remind me of AB last season. with more playing time the game will slow down for sully and with reps and practice he will improve even more. that the celtics got all of sully, AB, and rondo so late in the draft is amazing. if a draft were to be redone they all would go much higher i think. |

He's 10/10 per 36 right now. Very solid numbers for a rookie playing meaningful minutes.
If he can get that up to 13/13 per 36 that would be something to be proud of.

Sullinger is an above average rebounder, and he is only 20 years old and a rookie.
click on the link and read on Sullinger. Boy was this writer wrong. Its bc of guys like this we were fortunate Sully dropped to us. |

Sullinger's been really good the past two nights on both ends. I'm liking the strides he's making with his individual defense. I don't think he has the lowpost scoring ability to be an all-star or anything but an above-average contributor whose physicality and smarts makes him a crowd and coaches favorite would be just fine.

He is playing as well as many of the Lottery picks. Not headed for the D-League and improving some while learning on the fly.
I suspect a 20 year old is still getting pointers from his father and brothers as well as his coaches and teamates.
Like AB , Sully is alot of fun to watch . He gets to rebounds that Big Baby just couldn't seem to grab.
Sully is really going to be a wiley player when he gets several years under his belt.
His offensive game is just in the early stages. Right now though , he is making alot of key rebounds with his limited minutes.
