The next highest total is 29 assists. Ramon Sessions came within six assists of tying it. It's not in the same league as Wilt's 100 points.

I just used Wilt as an example of a single sports performance that will be hard but not impossible to beat. Some day someone may score more than Wilt and someone just may dish out the ball better than Skiles. Until then...
One of the few records (along with Wilt's 100) that will probably stand "forever".
