I know they said a hip bruise, but we're playing the Kings and with the Cousins rumours...

I really hope they don't trade him for Evans,Cousins!

Evans and Cousins is ALOT to get back for Rondo though. Especially when you consider how Ainge feels about the two of them. You're getting two ALL-Star Caliber talents for an All-Star who has excelled with proven guys.

While Rondo has been spectacular in spurts (AND I LOVE HIM) I could see Ainge moving him for two young talents on rookie contracts like DMC and Reke.

Do I agree with this move? (Depends on the day honestly) BUT AGAIN I could see Ainge making this move. While giving up Rondo is giving up a special talent in his own right. The talent in return of Cousins and Evans is potentially spectacular.

Since Webber and Adelman left no one has been good in Sac Town. It says a lot to just how good Reke and D Cuz are that they have been.

Also as weird as it seems I wonder if the removal of Rondo for equal talent would free up a lot of our guys to excel more on the offensive end...

Only b/c of the no trade clause...

Rondo is exactly what the kings want in a trade. I could easily see them giving up  ALOT to get him.

Think about it...

They want a floor general. They want a young veteran All-Star Caliber player. They want someone on a contract that they can keep around for a bit. Thus they can build around this guy.

Rondo fits perfectly into everything they want that might be available...

Rondo and Lee

for

Cousins, Evans, Thomas, and Thompson and  maybe a swap of firsts

??????????

Really think Danny says no to that? Maybe a recollection of the Heat series last year does...

Yup, for the most part the Celtics are proving themselves to be outclassed at every turn.   Only a few people are playing worth a wooden nickel.. most should re traded off .the old guys have fallen to father time.  They need to TAKE a bench, and DA needs new younger players and let the olde guys come off the bench.  The starters suck....they can't make a shot and get blown out and never give the bench a chance.

This team is TURRIBLE .....

I really would not want Cousins AND Evans.  Those two need to be broken up, too many bad vibes/habits.

The risk involved with them, especially combined, is just far too much to give up Rondo.

It'd be like the Monta Ellis trade. Everyone gets better. A bit sad for Rondo though.

Thompson apparently has a pretty bad contract. Picks instead of/along with Thompson maybe?

I'd do it but I'd hate myself for doing it. Good thing Danny's the GM because I could hate him instead.

Maybe...but on paper that's more value than you can ask for. Maybe a 3 team trade with Tyreke landing us another piece.

I hate Rondo trades but definitely this is something I'd do.

  • We may as well put Tyrion in at center.

Not at this point. I doubt they would trade Rondo for Paul at this point; if not logistically, then chemistry wise. Paul is seemingly content in LA and trading Rondo would really hurt our chemistry. Rondo's the best point guard, if not in the NBA, then for our team.

Yup.

But if the right deal comes along, Rondo's out.

You do raise a good point. What if KG retires immediately after Rondo gets traded? But, again, on paper, that would be a sick trade.
