Fl Celts Fan, here are some more team Connections for you.

Thomas Robinson and Paul Pierce both played college ball for Kansas.

Aaron Brooks and Isaiah Thomas are from Seattle, two of the gazillion little guys who followed Jason Terry to the NBA to find success, mostly as unabashed gunners (Jamaal Crawford, NateRob, Terrence Williams), also (Avery Bradley, Brandon Roy, Rodney Stuckey, Marvin WIlliams, Tony Wroten.) JET is the godfather to these Seattle guys, who hold him in high esteem as a smaller scorer who made it in the league despite not having pure PG skills.

This is the measuring stick game. If we lose to SacTo we really are in trouble.

No disrespect to the Kings, but this is a very win-able game.

Your optimism is really really way up there.

After the last two games...I don't have much optimism anymore. They just are not improving. They are getting worse even. Beyond discouraged

They got beat by the best team in the NBA right now and a team that is on the rise and is looking like a contender, who by the way also beat the best team in the NBA right now. It's not like they got beat by scrubs. I understand we need to be on par with these teams to be a contender, but we still have a decent team and with a few adjustments (either roster or plays) we could become one of the elites once again.

I didn't see them getting worse. I saw good ball movement, solid defense and rotations and good play from some young guys. I also saw their opponents hitting every shot they throw like the rim is as big as a salt basin.

the Heat lost convincingly to the Bucks last night, should they give up too?

So you guys thought at this point in the season they would be under .500? No way anyone thought this. They have lost in ugly fashion the last two games. That is what is discouraging. They continue to be just bad on defense. Giving up over 100 is now routine. That is why I am discouraged

I like Jason Collins starting against DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins is an explosive offensive threat who is capable of going off on any team at any moment. Collins is a good defensive option against Cousins with his size, physical toughness and mobility.

I want to keep one of Collins or Garnett on the floor at all times against Cousins. None of the backup PFs are capable of defending Cousins effectively. It needs to be Collins are Garnett. Doc will be able to play his two PF lineups when Cousins rests since Sacramento has no other center on their roster either.
Doc will go small ball though
That will make things that much harder. Unnecessarily.

I'll be very disappointed if Doc does that.

Rajon Rondo (bruised hip and thigh) is uncertain whether he'll be able to return on Sunday.

"I honestly don't know," Rondo said. "I'm trying to [play Sunday]." Doc Rivers said the injuries were minor and fortunately the Celtics don't play a weekend matinee, so we should have an update in the afternoon.

This could be a tricky game without Rondo.

They really don't have that large of a margin for error. Need a big performance from Pierce. He has a great matchup against John Salmons. He needs to punish Salmons. If Pierce is MIA again, this could get problematic very quickly (without Rondo there to save them).

I think we'll lose by 20...  This team has no heart, and is a bunch of misfit toys.  Look, there have been C's teams in the past that you EXPECTED to lose because they had no talent but showed heart.  This team has talent, but has no heart.  I'm not even excited about watching them play anymore.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
This should be an easy win, but I'm expecting a nail biter.

Sadly I agree I'll wait until AB is back and about a couple weeks after that, as im sure Danny will be as well. If we dont improve this team is getting broken up for a trade no doubt.
