I say its offense. We'd be a better defensive team if we were better offensively. For one thing, there'd be fewer fast break baskets. For another, our stars (Pierce, Rondo, and KG) could focus more on defense.

I think we need to make a trade for a great offensive player so that the older players can focus on defense. Pierce is 9th in the league in scoring right now. ...he needs help.

Inefficient offense which most of the time leads into poor transition defense.

Agree, porous defense and inconsistent offense with inability to close out games the last few years.

Our team in the big 3 era are all about D..when our D is excellent, its rare we lose.
Poor defense robs us of easy buckets and offensive rhythm.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
Offense.

I think we are playing solid defense. While it's not really evident vs the Clips,  I think everyone is picking up rotations and playing good D.

We need someone outside of Paul who can score atleast 15 a night. It could be Green or Bradley, either way, we need another guy. We need Bass, Sully and Jet to score OFF THR BENCH, at least 10 each. If we have a constatnt flow of scoring from starters and bench we will be winning games.

It's not that we can't score... it's that we can't stop the other team from scoring.

The "run and gun suns" had all the offense in the world but it meant nothing b/c ultimately they couldn't stop the other teams from scoring!

Yes, at times our offense stagnates but when we play excellent defense we have no problems scoring or winning but even on nights where we shoot and score well we still lose b/c (again) we can't stop the other teams.

So our problem is easily on defense!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
Both.

Defensively we allow too much dribble penetration and don't have enough of an interior presence. Offensively we don't have enough scoring outside of Pierce and Garnett.

Defense, definitely.

Our offense is very good when we can run off of stops.  But you can't do that when you never get stops.

We're a layup drill at this point, and until we find a way to fix that - either internally or by adding something - then this team isn't going to hit its stride.

Sad with the expectations coming into the season that Rondo will be able to "run" with all these young guns Lee Jeff Green etc and get us easy baskets pshhh

I've said it all along, Rondo is not an elite player.  When the torch got passed to him, this team had nowhere to go but down.  So the big 3 wins a title with Rondo being a side piece.  Then all of a sudden when they get older and the team isn't winning it's because Rondo has nobody to run with.  Now he's got some horses and what happened?  How many more excuses do we have for this guy?  I don't think Rondo is a terrible player by any means.  But he is nowhere near the pedestal the C's fans have put him on.

Rondo's defense got me so furious so far, up to a point that I am willing to make a mixtape of the for mentioned...on ball he is so-so, very much a alibi player(especially with faster guards), but off ball, he just wonders of after a second his guy passes the ball and pretty much positions himself for a potential rebound, therefor LEAVING his man open ALONE
