Agh lost the game, though!
The officiating is pretty good compared to the NBA, ironically.
And Fab Melo. Awesome sauce. He's raw but he's learning very fast.

I've been watching him.... he has these "SMALL" little mirco moments where he plays well. And slowly , the tiny bits of decent play are showing up more freq.
He needs 1000's repetition of shots and practice situations.
A he becomes more confident , and aggressive , the he'll put it all together one day on a consistant basis.
When he gets to the point , he can dominate without hesitation a period , he'll be ready to contribute.
With his size and speed , once he know how to play the game , he will be hard to stop , IF he is of the right mindset.
If Danny can just somehow protect Sully , Fab, KJ and AB , I believe people will be very happy by end of next year what those guys can bring.
The problem is with guys WHO been around the game ....the older guys aren't getting it done.

DLeague or not, 14 blocks? Wow, he musta been EVERYWHERE! Hell, I might think they were throwing the ball at him instead of the rim! LOL WTG FAB! Getting better every time he is out there! I usually watch the games after they have been played (when I know the outcome), so that I can focus closely on FAB. I only look at the score before I watch the game instead of their individual stats, but I knew FAB had to be impressive given a new thread for him, so I had to look!

Oh wow. Watching the replay of the game right now.
His BBIQ so far in the first seems a little iffy, but we'll see. 14 blocks though.. Jeez. Congrats to him on the NBDL record.

Where did that baby hook come from? Looks kinda ugly, but it's worked for him from what I've seen so far.

I would be very interested to see him get a 10-12 game run in the team.
Stiemsma was pretty raw at the start of last season too.

Yup, I think it might be close to time to see some Fab down in Boston.

I don't think so. Giddens put up some monster lines in the D-League too. Let him spend the year learning up there. He can help us next year.

14 blocked shots! What more needs to said. Bring him down for the love of god. Melo is huge upgrade over bass, wilcox, and sully on defense. Teams are running layup drills against the Celtics right now. Plant the young 7 footer in there and see what happens. Worst case scenario Celtics continue to play .500 ball. Best case scenario Melo earns starting job next to Garnett for rest of the year.

Here's a cut and paste from the other silly Fab Melo thread: "He hasn't played anywhere near that well so far. He's been like the 10th best player on that D-League roster. They have like 5 guys averaging 20 points. Lol. http://www.nba.com/dleague/maine/statistics/Before anyone gets too excitable, it should be pointed out that Melo is merely averaging 7 points, 5 rebounds and 2 blocks in a children's league. There's about 90 players outperforming him in that league so far."
