Flying into Boston on Christmas Day, making my way to my folks' in CT the following day.

Always love visiting, but with the holiday, most of my favorite restaurants in my old neighborhood (Davis/Porter/Harvard Square) are going to be closed. Racking my brain trying think of someplace where we can grab some decent food (and I can sample some local brews).

Anyone have any suggestions? Our hotel is just a few blocks east of Downtown Crossing, so we'll be able to get just about anywhere via the T.

Are you going to have a car or limited to mass transit?

Was thinking about Indian in Harvard Square, but my old standby has closed (permanently). Other thought: Chinatown.

Rondo: strictly public transpo.

Not sure what options will be open.

Im almost certain Sunset Grill in Allston is on Christmas though. Enormous beer selection as well as food selection. Nothing fancy but def a good place to hit

Both have Xmas brunches and dinners. Nice places, nice location.

Here's another good link:

http://bostonchefs.com/holiday/christmas-day-boston-restaurants/

Just checked that out. Funny that I had been able to find only 2011 listings until this week.
