Journeyman player is now a journeyman color man.  Pretty soon he will be doing the Orlando Summer League games on the internet.

So happy about this. I like Donny every once in a while but i don't need him before and after every game.

Hopefully Tanguay is next!

It was only a matter of time before Donny started doing more national games.  He is a pretty perfect national color guy.  Bland, with very generalized insight that can be easily digested by the casual fans.  He will say things that are just interesting enough to keep it rolling, but might not make enough sense if you think enough about them.

He doesn't have the personality for the same die hard fan base to watch every game, but as a national guy, he is perfect.

I think within a year or two, he will either be a regular on ESPN, TNT, or NBATV...or maybe more likely, he will become a college color analyst, which he is even more suited to, since that is where he was actually a notable player.

He hates the Celtics let him move to the national scene where he can suck up to Ray, good riddance!  Give me Scal anyday.

can only hope he goes away.  don't care where.

I was liking Scal as his replacement until the Bulls game when he going on and on about "the Nate Robinson Show".  jeez Scal, if you don't like the guy, just come right out and say it.  got so sick of Scal's new catchphrase I was ready to turn off the volume and watch in silence.

I thought Scal was pretty much right on target regarding Nate. His rant was almost Tommy-esque. It was also funny to hear him cracking up every time Thibs got angry at the Bulls players.
