Kyrie Irving is a disgustingly good player.

I love his versatility.  He can shoot, drive, pass, whatever.  I wouldn't be surprised to see him make the All Star game this year.

He'd better make it.  He's near the top of the league in scoring, and he scores efficiently.

I don't think Kyrie deserves to make the ASG at this stage. His team sucks. 5 wins and 21 losses. He is playing well but not well enough to look past that. He is still a player who provides terrific scoring but doesn't contribute enough elsewhere.

If his team improves and/or his own play improves over the next month or so, it is worth revisiting but I wouldn't select him for the ASG based on things as they stand now.

I think the all-star team should reward individual greatness.  Irving isn't a chucker who hangs stats due to volume shooting.  Rather, he hangs stats because he's amazingly efficient.  It's not his fault that he's got one of the worst supporting casts in the NBA.

It is his fault that he is a lousy defender, mediocre rebounder and passer.

Terrific scorer.

Irving's defense has actually been pretty good this year.  His points allowed per possession ranks in the top 20% in the league.

His passing could use some work, but I chalk a lot of that up to having lousy teammates.  Having guys who can convert helps assist numbers.

This is why I don't want to trade Pierce.  It's so rewarding as a fan watching these vintage performances.

I really do not like Collins out here right now.
I think Jasonhas played pretty well defensively in his stretch.

I think Varejao has to be one of the coaches' picks. Irving's good but there can't(or at least shouldn't) be more than one player from a team with such a bad record

I wouldn't pick Varejao either.

I would go with Joakim Noah, Tyson Chandler and Al Horford. Winning matters.

Yup they are classic s , when he is on,  I just wish Green would play more , so when PP does come to play he 100% and rested as much as he needs.

Yeah, it's probably one of the last games we see Paul go nuts on a team, but it's also beautiful to watch!
