The offense is bad. Really bad.
We do need a big man, but maybe we get one closer to Feb or pick up a fundamental guy (like Perk)

Eric Gordon should be a prime candidate

Gordon and Lopez to BOS
Green, Bradley, Bass, Melo and picks to NOH

Rondo, Gordon, Pierce, KG/Sully, Lopez

Make this "Big 3" try one more season. KG and Pierce probably retire at the end of the season with or w/o this trade, freeing up cap space to pick up another young gun to put with Rondo. ie. Josh Smith, Dwight etc
Can't stop, Rondo!

  • It's what I do! It's who I am!
Yea, Gordon's injuries scare me too much.

I don't think he actually has any health problems currently, he just didn't want to play in NOH at all this season so he says his knees aren't okay. Even asked them not to match Phoneix's offer

  • Everyone's excited for the new era.
Gordon is not a top SG.  He's undersized, not much of a passer, and from what I've seen, a below-average defender.

Sure, he can score the ball like crazy, but scoring two-guards come a dime a dozen in this league.

Wouldn't want someone who holds team hostage, to get what they want.

Pass on that alone.

If we were to go by a score first SG mentality, I would take Monta over Gordon.
However, this isn't the most urgent need in our situation, so, I'll pass.

The Eric Gordon that has missed the last 100 or so straight games? No thanks.

If the c's trade for a sg, it should be Monta Ellis

with your trade we would be left with sullinger starting at PF and no back up. KG is no longer a power forward, and hasnt played power forward in nearly 2 years. He has lost nearly all lateral quickness to play and defend the 4 full time.

If Gordon is healthy, then absolutely I am on board.

Despite Terry and Lee who are streaky shooters, the Celts do need a pure shooting guard and Lopez solidifies the front court.

Avery Bradley for President in 2016

If the c's trade for a sg, it should be Monta Ellis

While I think Ellis would be an awesome sixth man/instant offense type player, we've got an overcrowded guard rotation as it is.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

...but scoring two-guards come a dime a dozen in this league.

My least favorite NBA cliche. Not defending this trade or Gordon -- just knocking this meaningless line.
