I just wanna hear what some people think the Celtics roster will look like after 3pm on that Febuary day. Do we make minor moves or do we make a splash for someone like Josh Smith. I lean on the side of something big is going happen because I beleive we need someone like J-smoove to win the whole thing. His defense and rebounding would be huge for this team. So let me know what you guys think. Do we make any moves? Do we do the usual rumor rumor rumor but only sign a vet or two? So tell me what ya think!

My money's on a buyout big, and maybe a couple other low-key moves (Melo back to the d-league?).

But much of that depends on our record and our injury situation. If we're sitting comfortably in the middle of the playoff pack and an "obviously say yes" deal doesn't fall into the front office's collective lap, this is our team.

  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Two options:

Big: trading one of or both of Bradley and Green in a package for Josh Smith, Gortat, or al Jefferson

Small: Waiving Kris Joseph, picking up a buyout need or two

Small is exodentialy more likely.

I feel like if we make a move we either keep AB or Jeff. I don't see both of them going. Would love to get Big Al back here. IDK I feel like this team isn't bulit to win this year but we would be able to with someone like Big Al or Josh Smith. Those two guys would fill such a big gap that could put us over. What do i know though this group maybe is just about to hit a stride.

Can't keep Green and Bradley and still gain Al Jeefe or J-Smoove.

Just can't. Won't work.

A buyout big most likely. I think someone like Dalembert or hell even Kenyon Martin would be added.

Im crossing my fingers that Perkins will be waived, and we will snatch him up immediately.

Danny is going to keep his cards close to his chest. I don't foresee a big trade happening.

We got killed last night by the Dallas smallball lineup but once AB comes back we will make positive adjustments.

Just don't see the upside in OKC waiving Perkins (or amnestying him).

As long as LA has Dwight, or he could go to Dallas, there just isn't much of an upside in paying him not to be there during the season.

No trades will be made. A minimum salary pick-up after a buyout must probably is the extent of what we'll see.

Maybe they'll end up waving either Collins or Joseph, or both, if they find a upgrade they feel would really help this team. Or they get traded for a protected 2nd round pick.

I think things are heading in the right direction with this team.

Avery is coming back. Jeff is coming on ... and he's so versatile, it would be rough losing him. Courtney Lee needs to find his groove for sure.

I think we need to stay healthy and gel, and just get one true big to back up KG & Wilcox (besides Collins). Maybe Darko returns, maybe Melo gets thrown into the fire or maybe we pick up some other random dude over 6'10". Lots of people like Birdman. Perhaps we get our hands on him? I'd rather have Darko, but either way.

Our back court will be really sick and deep with Rondo, Avery, Jet, CLee and Leandro. Fast and nasty. That's huge. They can match up with anybody.

Jeff and PP at the 3 is also pretty sick. They can keep one another fresh going against the Carmelos and LeBrons.

The bigs is where we look thin. KG will get worn out. Chandler and all the bigs on the Knicks will sink our front court. Even Bosh and whatever else the Heat have will require better depth in our front court. The Nets are tall. They've made us look foolish in the paint. Bolster this area, and we may be alright.

I'm hoping that the team's roster looks exactly the same (maybe with the addition of a veteran free agent big) as it looks now.
DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Call me crazy, but I think Danny finds a way to turn Bass or Lee, Melo, and picks into Gortat.  Just a feeling I have.

I like this one.

http://basketball.realgm.com/tradechecker/saved_trade/6178383

Dont think we could pull it off. Love and Williams leave Minny and the dont get a very high return for them.

Rondo/Terry
Lee/Terry
Pierce/?
KG/Sully
Love/Thompson

Plus Im not sure I like the squad we end up with. And I just really dont like Kevin Love.
