Rondo might be able to do a good job on Harden.

Harden has a size advantage on Rondo but most of his game is off the dribble 20-25 feet from the basket. Rondo could be able to bother his ball-handling with his pressure defense. Not sure Harden's scoring is versatile enough yet to punish a defender like Rondo in the mid-post and low-post areas.

Either way, it'll be interesting to see. More as a litmus test for Harden's scoring ability than anything else.

I want to see Rondo's minutes come down. He is up around 38 minutes per game.

There is no reason for Rondo to be playing so much with backcourt depth like Jason Terry, Courtney Lee and Leandro Barbosa. Doc needs to stop being so dependent on Rondo and give other guys more responsibility.

I still think Rondo is best as a 33-34mpg guy during the regular season. That is when he gives his most consistent efforts throughout whole games + prepares him amply enough while keeping him fresh enough for the playoffs down the road.

Time to bump the game thread and try to forget stuff for awhile.

You can add Terry to that list, too. Doc will run RR and Jet into the ground if he is not careful.

I wonder if Lee starts tonight to cover Harden. Pierce cannot let Parsons get rolling. Asik on the boards may be a big problem.

This is one day this Hooligan could care less if the Celtics win or lose.

My thoughts and prayers are with the children and families of this awful tragedy.

JET would have gotten killed by Harden. Good move by Doc.

I guess this is what Doc meant by using situational lineups.  I like it.

Good to see the talk of matching up for opponents when necessary was real from Doc.

Good Friday to all - another Friday game, another pack of beer.  Love Friday games.

Honestly I expect the C's to only win one of the two games of this back-to-back, but the Spurs have lost their last two games... hopefully we can take this one and beat the Spurs tomorrow.

Prediction:  C's win 101-97.
