I love Rondo, but he is either unable or doesn't want to stay in front of his man on defense. So frustrating.

I still remember the playoff series vs the magic a few years back when anthony carter killed Rondo just because he refused to focus his defensive effort on him

Translation: someone scored a couple of easy baskets against Rondo in a game.

Translation: just about anyone being guarded by Rondo gets to the hoop at will every game

Translation: someone gets past Rondo and you're on it like white on rice, Rondo plays good defense and you're too busy looking for his next mistake to notice what happened.

You honestly believe Rondo does a good job staying in front of his man? More power to you.

I think if you watched any point guard play defense as critically as you watch Rondo you'd think they were terrible at keeping their man in front of them. Which point guards do you think rarely let their man get past them?

Deron Williams for one

Not from what I've ever seen. I don't think many people consider him to be an above average defender, but if you do more power to you.

20 more games and we'll be  O -TAY

Hahaha. First it was 20 games and now It is 42. Only thing that makes them okay is a trade.

Deron Williams is a really good defensive player.

In my experience, most people consider Deron a well above average defensive player. Only a small number think otherwise.

I do agree that Rondo is better defensively than Deron though.

It is game 22. When do they start getting better?

My guess is Game 83....if they make it that far...

Their record accurately reflects what they are, a mediocre team. just like Houston and Dallas and so on.

Agree.   Either we become a top defensive team again, or we will be what you see now....average.   The Rox shooting 50%, 40% from 3....there's your game.

That was a backbreaking basket to give up. Looks like that will be the game right there.

I know this might seem cold, but I've been thinking about it since the beginning of the season. Anyone else hopes Pierce retires after the season and doesn't pick up the player option?

Lazy pass by Rondo really set up the 3 that ended it.  We have to take care of the ball better.  ESP on the road.
