Hell no, he was as bad as Antoine with his 3 point shot selection.

big call.
Yeah I remember walker taking more 3s off the dribble. Wallace just catch and shoots them instantly.

I'd go with Walker as being worse.

I remember Toine was put in the 3 point contest by the NBA just for giggles and scored 7, with multiple airballs in a row.

He still kept shooting those 3s though. Deep, deep threes.

Juiced.

He said Rasheed Wallace, not LeBroid.

I'm pretty sure it was that 3-point contest when a reporter asked Antoine why he shot so many three pointers, and his response was perfectly emblematic of all that was wonderful and hopelessly flawed about Antoine Walker:

"Because there are no fours!"

?? I can't even remember the last time Sheed took a contested 3.

Of course they're wide open.  Guy's shooting 28% from deep, pretty sure the game plan's no more complicated than "let's leave 'Sheed wide open to take as many 3's as he wants!"

Well to be fair, Antoine was probably the worst 3 point chucker in NBA history. I can't think of anyone else who was that bad of a shooter yet still took so many shots.

Rasheed isn't far off though, especially when he was on the tail end of his career with the Celtics. Any time he touched the ball outside the 3 point line you knew a brick was coming.

Does Toine hold the record for most 3'sof attempted?

I thought at one point he did unless that was just him leading the league every year.....by a wide margin

And I agree with the terrible three point shot selection, he could always hit some big three point shots at big moments here and there but in years where he has attempted 1 or more three pointers a game his best percentage has been 36%. With a career average of only 33%.
?? I can't even remember the last time Sheed took a contested 3.  Every shot he took with us and in the Knicks' games I've seen it's when his man leaves him completely and nobody's within 10 feet of him.  36% might be above average for a guard, but it's elite from the center position.  In seasons that he's made at least 1 a game, he's shot above 35% 6 times and 33% once.

Yeah, not everybody still has their touch at 38, but why are you trying to take away from his career?  Nobody has lauded his shooting in years, people talk about his ridiculous post defense and how much space his length takes up in the paint.

It wasnt a good stat of his career. Just because hes wide open doesnt mean its still a good shot especially when he is making it on average 33%. The point Rasheed was a dirty post up player and could put up good shots in the paint. From shot selection point, he shouldnt have been chucking wide open threes at a bad rate when he could be more efficient in the paint.

He led the league three years in a row (2001-03). Antoine was taking a ridiculous 7-8 threes a game in those seasons. The rest of his career he was down around 3-4 attempts. So he had three crazy years under Jim O'Brien.

His highest year, 2002 with 645 attempts, ranks 3rd all-time for a single season behind Ray Allen (653 with Seattle in 2006) and George McCloud (678 with Dallas in 1996 with the shortened line).

Antoine also ranks 9th and 14th with his other two seasons. Mookie Blaylock is the only other guy (along with Antoine) to rank twice in the top ten and three times in the top 20.

Antoine shot 36% from 3 in the title year regular season. That surprised me a bit. That's pretty decent.

15.   Baron Davis   4159

I remember thinking Baron Davis was the Antoine Walker of point guards for a while; fat and chucking up eight 3's a game (and only making two of them).
