  • The shortest answer is doing the thing
This team will only go as far as Brandon Bass's eventual replacement will take them.

I'm a broken record.  I've been saying this since before the season.  This roster doesn't make sense.

We have a great PG, 4 backup Shooting guards, two starting SF's and one great big man.  We're starting a bench big by default and one of our starter-caliber SF's is forced to come off the bench.  It doesn't make sense.  I'm not too worried about it... this team is in great position for a trade by the deadline.

Jeff Green has been terrific lately.  Definitely our 4th best player.

Bradley better get back soon so terry can go to the bench and lee can just watch

The two duds in this game Lee and Bass, can be traded and get some good value in return for the Celtics

And another game given away..this team looks like a clown show

This one was different.  C's played well enough to take this one and really turned it on in the 4th.  Missed some easy shots in the end adn JET with a hideous night.

Green played his best game IMO.

Turnovers killed Boston tonight. Celtics were lucky to even be in overtime

I just don't see this team making any strides. Just a bunch of issues

Really?

D looked good without KG, which is huge. Green living up to his contract seemingly.

Turnovers and tough luck killed us. CLee airballing a 3? Jet 1-8? Rondo slipping? 1-2 on free throws twice I think?

I was truly worried when our D was bad. Now it's way better and I haven't felt this good about the team since the preseason.

Two brutal plays to end the game and in OT... I just don't see this team making any strides. Just a bunch of issues

Really?? green with his 3rd 15+ game in the last 4 games

held the 76ers to 37% shooting overall...turnovers and some missed bunnies were the key here

I feel terrible for Terry - the guy's shot has been money all season, and today when it was really needed he just couldn't buy a basket.  Every one of his shots looked on target and then just went in and out, he's gotta be feeling terrible.

As for Lee...we just can't afford to play him at the end of close games.  I like his energy but he's far too much of an offensive liability right now.

On the plus side this is what, the 3rd or 4th good game in a row by Green?  Not only did he hit some HUGE shots, but he played gave us some really solid defense and rebounding in the 4th quarter and in overtime.  I'll be thrilled of we can see that from him more often.

C's are pretty mediocre right now. My patience is wearing thin.

I actually don't mind the attempts. The first attempt actually looked really good coming out of his hands, but it was long. The second was unlucky that he slipped.

I honestly think he has to get comfortable taking those shots. Late in games, we need other options besides the Paul Pierce iso or throwing it into KG just for him to pass it off. If he's taking the reigns as "the guy", he has to take and learn to make shots with the game on the line.

So is Fab Melo ready yet? I'm ready to see what this team looks like with a legitimate shot blocker.
